“Terrorism is the war of the poor; war is the terrorism of the rich.” – Sir Peter Ustinov

remember, the original video is over 20 years old...and still sound actual

This is political satire. Pispers once said: Equating a satirist with a comedian is like equating a Michelin-starred chef with a dog food manufacturer.

AIDS is the active illness with no cure, but if you got the HIV-Virus there are medication (very expensive) to keep the illness sleeping if you have luck.

Hey man, I really enjoy your videos! I'm watching from Germany, and I find it really interesting to see you reacting to Volker Pispers and his take on American history. A lot of your fellow American YouTubers often check out things like "Die Heuteshow" or discuss German-American perspectives, like what Germans think about Americans. And I think you're doing a great job. I'd love to see you get even more success in the future. Keep it up. I really like your videos and how you dive into history. Best wishes from Germany, Marcel.

german here(37 years old, still feeling like spongebob in my mind...) ...great to see you going to such a deep and unpleasant theme with open eyes and minf...this series made me discover your channel, checked out som of your other stuff and let me tell you,you got a new fan ;) keep up that open mind and optimistic view of what we could achieve as humanity!

The translation is a bit messy there, what he said was "Peacekeeping Bomber Squadron".

Whenever I watch Pispers' old routines, I'm torn between laughing my a*s off (because of the delivery) and utter desperation (contentwise). Saw him live 25 years ago and still miss him dearly.

That these things surprise you, is so heartbreaking. Learn good, learn fast. Tell your friends. Ask Questions. Never believe what is told to you by those in power. ALWAYS check for yourself.

12:22 That’s probably one of the most important sentences for US Americans.
“Cheap [meds] are against free market.”

That’s why “markets”, aka greedy corporations, need regulation.

"I am so fully occupied with being human, i rarely have time to be German" is a phrase that entered my vernacular after i heard it for the first time.
To say it another way: It takes enough effort to be a decent human being, being patriotic is SOOOOOOOO far down the priority list.
And I firmly believe that this is true for most people. And some of them choose to be patriotic.

10:00 AIDS was far from being curable when Pispers recorded his show. But the problem of the cost of medication is still the same.

Getting a little mad or depressiv while listening to Pispers? That’s just the normal experience.

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts on this video (Part 4).I truly respect your deep insights and the meaningful reflections you brought to the discussion. It is wonderful to see your genuine interest and dedication in engaging with Volker Pispers’ entire 5-part program. Your effort to dive so deeply into the material is highly commendable. I really admire your effort in following, especially because the program is entirely in German and you are navigating it just through subtitles. I know that political comedy is full of wordplay and that some translations might not be 100% accurate, which makes your deep understanding and interest even more impressive!
Respect and many thanks! :eyes-pink-heart-shape:
Greetings from Germany :face-red-heart-shape:

5:48 The point of his statement is highlighting our perception of a ‘cowardly’ suicide bomber versus a ‘brave’ fighter pilot that drops bombs from long distance. Both hit innocent civilians they don’t even know and both justify their actions by some obscure higher purpose. From an ethical standpoint both actions are despicable but when it comes to cowardice it IS kind of telling that we attribute it to the guy that is sure to loose his own life as well.

There's a little translation mistake. In the correct way it means "Peacekeeper Bomber Squad".

Honestly, i waited for this   ..interesting series. I know Pispers already, but the reactions are the interesting part.

That category of "humor" is called Satire in germany

He made "peace-bomber keeping squad" up it is a German Language thing where you add words together... He meant it ironicly. A heavily weaponized military unit that keeps the piece by suppressing the enemy.

10:10 there's no cure for AIDS - but the medicine is so good nowadays that you can have a completely normal life with an HIV infection. Also you there are pills which will prevent infection that can be taken a certain amount of time after unprotected sex and you'll still be safe. In Europe that's part of general healthcare and doesn't cost you anything.
