Wow, I've never expected to see some great acting in these criminal shows... I really appreciate this, they elevated a somewhat typical crime story to a higher level. That last part brought tears to my eyes. I am not even a mother.

I was a neighbour of Isabel Cook’s aunt. I was 10 at the time and remember it well. The effects on the Cook family were devastating and ruined their lives. I remember the aunt blamed the media at the time. So sad.

These actors are really good, they inspire true feeling. Sadness, agony, rage, and even straight up hatred. Not because they’re bad people, but because they’re playing their roles and context around their role so bloody well; basically, if you hate a character so much because of how bad of a person they are on screen, it usually means that the actor is REALLY good .

Imagine if that jury had found him guilty of the first rape, how much different things may have been. Or had they arrested him for the first murders.

His father was the enabler & his mother was under her husband's thumb. I had neighbors who enabled their son with his neighborhood crimes. Parents know at an early age when their kids are torturing animals

I can't stand when families cover for violent criminals. I know love and loyalty are important but you're allowing someone to destroy other families.

Good for Brigid(?) the mother for speaking out in court, the honest truth. At least the victims got some justice. I can't imagine the guilt she must have felt on both sides. Guilt for the victims and their families, and guilt that her son was the one responsible.

This father should have been charged as an accessory. He knew what his son was doing, and he was fully enabling him. He had no empathy for those girls who were murdered. I know where the son got it from now.

My husband and I were watching this and both agree, had this been our son, we would've handled him long before he got to the executioner.
I would never cover for my kids doing shit like this.
