I bought this yarn on sale for £3.99 per 50g skein and I used 385g, so total cost was under £31.

You and the awesome ladies of JAT smashed Yarndale - I had a blast, met some lovely knitters, filled my bag with yarn and chatted with some of my fave dyers/makers. Thanks for the covering the behind-the-scenes set up/tear down…so much muscle and wits behind the stall design! Enjoy Cornwall ❤

Have a lovely time in Cornwall - such a beautiful part of the world. I’m the opposite in terms of stash. I didn’t have any jumper quantities in my stash only odd balls and skeins and left over yarn, so this year I have treated myself to buying some jumper quantities of yarn. I’m really enjoying having them to look at and think what I might make with them. At the same time I’m trying to use up some of my stash on smaller projects which I’m finding surprisingly satisfying!

I’m definitely higher in the SQ yarn stakes but I’m not going to work it out because then I’ll have to face up to it ! I mostly knit sweaters so that’s my excuse. Happy knitting!

Yes, I totally know how much work that is to set up for a show. I used to be a jeweler and I did my own shows where I had to set up like that except with jewelry cases and all. It’s crazy hard work. I hope to one day soon fly there to see that show. It looks absolutely amazing.
Ok don’t laugh but, the only sweater quantity that I have is the one that I am knitting right now. So I guess my # is 1.😂

I am definitely lower on the Sweater Quantities but probably still just in double figures, my stash and WIPs tucked away in corners is quite disorganised- so I could be kidding myself- so my first job is sorting it!! I have started organising and am feeling inspired to do more! Hope Cornwall and the retreat are fabulous and you get some rest, as well as lots of good company 😊

This explains why I didn’t see you at Yarndale! We were there on the Sunday. Hope you had a safe trip to Cornwall.

I’d say I probably have 10-12 sweater quantities. Partly it’s my own fault for swearing off buying random one-off skeins that don’t have a purpose! (Aside from the Woolly Mama crazy skein I bought at Port Sunlight!)

I feel like I’ve been doing a really good job of using things up, and Vinted has been handy for destashing - and then using the money to buy more yarn, which isn’t really the point, but we’re off to Strasbourg soon and there are yarn shops, so it’d be rude not to visit.

Yarndale was wonderful, and of course I visited the John Arbon stand and made a purchase. I’d love to do the mill open weekend at some point, too. Their colours are fabulous and just make me happy!

Have a brilliant time at the retreat!

Shopping my stash is also on the cards for me for the next year. My son has decided I have too much (I mean he's not wrong...cheeky .... but I would agree with him) so he has decided that I'm allowed 2 skeins from wool monty, I'm allowed to buy for baby gifts (what I mainly seem to make, which is why the stash is so big!) but nothing else as I need to use what I have! I don't have much of jumper quantities as I'm a sucker for minis and single skeins, although saying that I think there may be 4 jumper qualities, I mean if it did stripy or scrappy .... then far, far more!
I'm currently finishing his blanket and also making a springer spaniel soft toy for (you guessed it) a colleague who is expecting and goes on maternity at the end of October.
