🧶 Join my mom and me as we unveil her finished Lauro Sweater! This project was great fun to knit and I especially loved the chance to spend time with my mom and think of her with each stitch. Once we unveil the finished sweater you'll see that we're considering shortening the length a bit. Let us know if you have good solutions for the right type of bind off to make this garment work for my mom!

A stunning makeover well done and well worn, congratulations to you both! ❤❤
I don’t know if you’ll read this, but I have a suggestion. Instead of ripping back to the preferred length of hem for your mom, pin on the edge where she wants it to stop.
Then, insert a cord/lifeline about the ribbing’s height above that, and another in the row just above the ribbing.
Next, once you have the two lifelines in place (and made these sts “live” again, cut out the excess fabric length between them.
Then graft the two sets of live edges together.
I did this on a lopapeysa sweater that I made for my husband and needed 5 less inches of length to be correct.
