The pilot was Oblt. Frank Liesendahl of 10.(Jabo)/JG.2 based at Beaumont-le-Roger, Normandy.
The kit instructions and some online information say his killed attacking a collier off Brixham, but I believe this to be incorrect… more about this in another video.

I bought Malcolm V Lows ‘Bf-109 Jabba units in the west’ today, so blaming you😀😀
I have a slightly philosophical take on Eduard's "new" decals: ALL model-making at this high level involves a lot of mucking around & faff (if it's building 109's is it Pfaff?). And one hasn't experienced faff & mucking around until one undertakes airbrush painting on markings using stencils. So, Eduard's decals arrived as a revelation; a near stenciled, painted-on appearance with only a modicum (by comparison) of faff & mucking!
