Doctor: You're a physical wreck Mr. Wayne
Bruce Wayne: okay
proceeds to jump out a window like nothing happened

"..along with the tanlines around your mouth, the black paint residue in your eyelids and the signs of strain on your vocal chords, I cannot recommend that you go heliskiing, Mr. Wayne"

Batman holding Gordon’s hand during their conversation is a nice touch.

I love how Gordon doesn't give two fucks who the batman might be

"No cartilage in your knees, not much in your elbows and shoulders. Scar tissue on your kidneys, residual concussive damage to your brain tissue..."
Literally 10 seconds later:
jumps out of 10th story window

Man I love this scene, the way he talks to Gordon with a much softer, more compassionate tone; it’s not Batman talking, it’s just Bruce.

That’s accurate because doctors actually take forever

This scene is what separates The Dark Knight Rises from all other super hero films and even most James Bond movies. It shows his true mortality. We see that fighting crime has taken a toll on Bruce Wayne's body.

‘What if he doesn’t exist anymore’ to anyone who has been humbled by life. This line hits.

The only problem with this scene was that it was too short.

I like how in this scene, when Bruce comes in and sits down, Gordon knows it’s Batman. And it makes me kinda smile.

Garry absolutely nails the role of Gordon throughout this trilogy

I often wonder how happy Gordon felt seeing his old friend again after eight years. He doesn't need to see his face to know who his visitor is: he's the Batman.

For those who are wondering what Gordon is saying to Bruce, here’s a clearer sentence.
“We were in this together, then you were gone.......based on a lie, now there’s evil rising from where we tried to bury it. The Batman has to come back.......he must. He must.”

The poster at 0:04 says "You don't have to be a doctor to save lives"

Imagine Batman waking you up in a suit and balaclava

Nolas is a realist, he manages to capture the damage the stunts Batman pullz would have on a human body. Jumping on top of a vehicle with your bare legs, jumping from building to building, being attacked repeatedly...this would undeniably leave damage to the human body, something Nolan doesn't deny.

Gordon- Why would you wear a suit to a hospital? Who would do that?
Nurse- I can't find Bruce Wayne anywhere!
Gordon-....

I loved this part between Bruce and Gordon, nice touch with Bruce holding his hand, like dear friends

This was a very nice way of bridging both first meetings from Batman Begins and The Dark Knight Rises as it shows how far Bruce Wayne and Jim Gordon's relationship has come, Bruce wore a ski mask when he met Gordon for the first time and now he sees him again for the first time in 8 years wearing the exact same type of mask . This scene really brings everything full circle.
