I'm married now and have 3 kids and life is very different, never a dull moment. Despite how busy it is, I love it and would never want to go back.
Please continue doing your best for not only yourself but also for Kibi.
I’m also single (turning 36 soon), and to answer your question, “What helped you stop comparing yourself to others?” — for me, I stopped feeling like I was falling behind when I stopped focusing on what other people had and started focusing on what I had.
Suddenly, I realized that life isn’t just about our relationship status, but about a whole combination of things. You can be “behind” in some areas while being ahead in others. For example, being single has allowed me to travel (to the US, Japan, among other places), which I probably wouldn’t have been able to do if I had been married with children. And actually, quite a few of my married friends have pointed that out to me.

I want to be clear — I'm not saying being single is better, or that marriage is worse. Everyone's life takes a different shape. I just wanted to be honest about where mine actually is at 40.
And my mother meant no harm with that line 😂 Looking back, it made me laugh more than anything.
