The problem is that she used the Flight 37 video threat way too much. You don’t threaten to go nuclear over everything.

When Homelander Closes The Door...

Bro 💀

What’s scary about this scene, is that you can tell Homelander has clearly thought about this scenario before. It’s probably rolled around the back of his head for years, planning out how he’d do it if he had to.

When you blackmail someone and they are made worse as a result, that’s when you realise that what you are using is the only thing that’s holding them back. Take that away and you will regret it, not them

I wouldn't say he blackmailed more like threatened her and the people of earth 🌎

Starlight almost turned Homelander into Omni-Man.

She really thought she had him there 😂

"Sure, I'd lose everything. But then...... I have nothing to lose!"
He knows very well how dangerous he is

This is EXACTLY what I thought the show runners were building to in the finale. Homelander literally said it himself. Instead we got a 5 episode search for V1 which had no effect on homelanders powers or feats and he died within 3 minutes of fighting butcher. Epic.

This was basically Homelander remembering and reminding Starlight he is the most powerful being on the planet.

it's more like Starlight blackmailed Homelander and it backfired

@shahrukhshamim5411 2 years ago

That is the difference between Starlight and Maeve. See, Maeve blackmailed him, when Homelander was devastated, but she knew that she had only bought herself some time, so she started helping Butcher to bring Homelander down.

Reminds me of that Batman scene where the accountant tries to blackmail Bruce Wayne, and Lucius Fox points out to the wannabe-blackmailer how an alleged-masked vigilante who beats people half to death might respond to threats.

Trying to blackmail a man that can take nukes like snowballs and is capable of leveling an entire city like New York in an afternoon is generally not a good idea.

Scary imagine she actually released it and bro just collapses society

@matthewriley7826 2 years ago

Lol can’t believe she thought Soldier Boy was the bigger threat after hearing this.

She was shocked 😮 , the realisation that she was dealing with a narcissistic psychopath.

"Return of the Deep" cracks me up every time. The delivery is just too good

“I would prefer to be loved, I would. But if you take that away from me…”

Almost as if Starlight should feel at fault for him losing it.

Homelander is written so brilliantly. Just those little subtle details in how he talks.
