I think it bears mentioning how the presence of counter-play is what allows for super-weapons to be strong, hence why Supreme Commander, with Anti-Nukes, has such impressive super-weapons.

My favourite is the devolving beam in Stellaris which sends an entire planet's population back to the stone age.

The chromosphere from red alert is so powerful it spawned its own franchise into existence

I like to nominate this F-tier superweapon: The saboteur in Dune 2 of Ordos. An infantry unit that is invisible to the player, so in order to find it you have to click all around your base and hope to click it, and then it just seems to explode randomly in your own base if you miss manage it, and if you do finally get him to walk to your enemies base, the enemy AI actually DOES see him, and they can just 1 shot it with literally any unit. Truly the worst superweapon, especially since the Harkonnen actually get a very powerfull infinite range nuke.

For Planetary annihilation, you forgot to mention the ragnarok Structure. Which is basically a self destruct building that destroys whatever planet it is built on.

Tier 0: Stellaris's Aetherophasic Engine.
Upon completion, destroys the galaxy.

Also, some neat superweapons from Stellaris's mods.
Gigastructural Engineering: Quasi-Stellar Obliterator. Dirrect the full destructive power fo a Quasar against your enemies, wiping out entire Star Clusters per shot. Janky use though.
Ancient Cache of Techonologies: the Resonant Cascade. Destroys everything in the targeted star system and turns planets and star into a special types to signify the scale of devastation. After some time, retrigger this effect in a neighboring hostile system.
Has a Supercharged variant that removes the requrement for hostile system to neighbor the one with the big boom. One shot will eventually annihilate the entire empire and there's no escape, no salvation.

Fun Video! I've always loved the Cybran Boomerang Experimental Nuke Redirector in Supreme Commander 2. It works exactly like its name suggests, hacking an incoming enemy nuke and rederecting it back towards the opponent, with the added fun that the redirected nuke still belongs to the opponent so it will not be intercepted by anti-nuke defences! It made trying to nuke a Cybran base a really dangerous proposition.

Sins of A Solar Empire 1 & 2 has super weapons too

oh another chill video

I love the first few SC2 nukes you showed were friendly fire nukes.

Classic C&C superweapons purpose was not wiping bases or weakening units before final battle - it's stalemate breaker. Well, it was before multiplayer meta started to be established around small skirmishes.

World in Conflict: Tactical Nuclear Strike has the best-looking superweapon and still features the most impressive animated nuclear explosion in gaming overall

You guys had no idea how terrifying Scud Storm truly is, that thing easily one of the most OP thing in C&C Generals even in the modded versions. Nuclear Missile and Particle Uplink is nothing compared to it because Scud Storm requires no power, so it's extremely easy to spam it in late game.

I feel like the most obvious ones to add to the list are from World In Conflict. Even taking aside the tactical nukes, the conventional airstrikes in World In Conflict are at least on the same level as the Company of Heroes artillery and very legendary in the RTS world.

They're also a great example of how RTS superweapons are often relative to scale. When you're playing a smaller level company scale RTS, an attack run from a Grach can be every bit as spectacular as a nuke or orbital laser cannon would be in a larger scale game.

I'm surprised you didn't cover Beyond All Reason's end-game turrets that can shoot halfway across the map. The Calamity and Ragnarok have a similar gameplay impact as a nuke and fill the role of a superweapon even more than nukes do, they close the game.

Unlike nukes, which have anti-nuke, the counterplay is to kill it before the opponent finishes it. That's why they're ~8x more expensive than a silo and nuke.

The Ion Cannon in C&C3 is my all-time favorite - followed by the Proton Collider in Red Alert 3. Are they the most powerful? Nope - but the sound and visual designs of their firing are just TOO GOOD!

I might add the Particle Cannon in Generals Evolution too, but I haven't played that yet.

0:18 This is how My Great Grand Parents tell their stories about how they went to school 🌪️🏫

i missed the Scrin Mothership, its a OP unit (yes its a unit) but its attack is so strong it often ends the match if your opponent didnt build a secondary base somewhere else on the map

Star wars Empire at War mod Thrawn's Revange has Super Star Destroyers and they are cool. A ship that spans 1/5 of the map is very satisfying (if a bit clunky) to field.

Godsworn's last 2 hero abilities may apply. They can be very neat - opening a portal for army of heaven or destroying stuff with concentrated power of the sun.

Beyond all Reason is great at it. You have very powerful units, nukes and rapid fire plasma cannons, all very epic. I think that even if you don't like this kind of rts games it's worth it playing few singleplayer rounds to see that.
