dont stop doing videos were invested now.

This is a master class in what actually works on trail.  This vid will have legs for years to come.

Great video, Autumn - very comprehensive!

I was hoping you'd do this as I've been curious. Thank you.

Thanks for this, Toots!  Throughout the duration of your AT hike I’ve wondered about some of the gear you had with you, so this posting answered a lot of my questions. There is nothing more educational than experience and you obviously have that in spades. 😃🤩

She’s baaack! 😊

Thanks for posting and sharing. Very informative from someone with the experience to back up expressed preferences.

Thanks for doing this review.  I’m amazed with how much you carry.   My opinion, feet care are the most critical.  Please continue posting.

Very helpful tips.  I doubt I'll ever be a thru hiker but I do love hiking around the Parkway in Virginia.  I did buy a pair of Ultraventures because I figured if you guys hike the trail with them I could use them.  Have to say I really like them!  Again, impressed with you.  Thanks again for including us in on your hike!

I so enjoyed “hiking” with you on your journey along the Appalachian trail……thank you ‼️❤️

Greetings from Virginia, Autumn!  Great video! Very informative. Prompted me to go back through my list and downsize a little more.  Hope all is well. Have a great weekend! Keep Trekking!!

Thank you! Let us know when you take your next trip - hope you vlog it, too.

I was stunned by how much gear you had stashed in your pack... Kind of like was seeing 21 clowns climb out of a car at the circus. 😉  I'm a firm believer in wool clothing over cotton and synthetics... I have lots of wool socks, base layers, sun hoodie, jackets, vests, coats, pants, and hats. Having gone through the ice, gotten soaked by rain in a mid-winter thunder storm, and ice accretion on myself and my gear in a sleet storm, I much appreciate the fact that wool kept me warm even when wet.

Thanks Gal...very informative

Thanks for sharing. I'm laughing, I cant imagine all the stuff fits in your pack! :)

I love my Bedrock sandals as well. Great traction due to the Vibram soles, so I also hike in them at times. I also like wearing them as camp shoes with toe/tabi socks in cooler weather. Worth the weight in my opinion.

Anybody attempting to hike long distance will gain some great knowledge from your real life experience. It had to be a culture shock waking up in bed and not thinking I’m in a tent again or where am I on the trail. Enjoy the down time as you figure out what is next on the horizon.

Thank you !  This was very helpful!

Well done!

That may have been me that recommended the laundry detergent sheets, as I recommended them all the time for travelers 😅 They are awesome! I also recently switched to bar shampoo and conditioner and will be carrying travel size bars as I have sensitive skin as well. Also, the Matador FlatPak soap bar cases are great for travel. Unlike a ziplock baggie, the bag allows moisture to escape and the bar to dry instead of getting soggy, even if you put it in wet 😉 Thanks for sharing your gear review!
