Hello Friends!

This was an adventure for the books! A late-season alpine trip that tested me and my gear in a whole new way.

Huge temperature fluctuations, stunning alpine views, gorgeous lakes, new camera gear, cozy fireside chats, and an absolutely magical sunset are just some of the things in store for this adventure!

The days were surprisingly warm, but once the sun went down, the temperatures plummeted below freezing! I spent the night tucked into my Durston X-Mid trying to stay warm. And I had a rather unexpected visitor wandering around my tent at 3 AM 😳

I also had the chance to experiment with my new telephoto lens and capture my very first astro video!

It worries me you had a visitor like that. I don't like that feeling and certainly don't want you to experience that kind of thing. Stay safe!
I know you put so much effort into your content but your presentation is so smooth and peaceful. Love the drone shots, the usage of telephoto lenses, the stars, I could go on and on. You're a very artistic creator and I am certainly drawn to your style.
I'm an old country boy. My wonderful Grandma used to say when we'd do something nice "you just go to way yonder too much trouble but many thanks for doing it." I'll just say that's how I feel when I watch one of your videos. Many thanks Misty! 🙏🏻🫶🏻

👏Another element has been added to Misty's ever expanding repertoire that adds to the outdoor experience. What's the newest addition? A telephoto lens. Who's the benefactor of this? Her ever expanding audience who get to experience amazing distant, as well as continued close-up and exhilarating aerial videos.
Ssshhh! Let's make this our secret though, otherwise National Geographic will be headhunting her talent. Not to mention Elle Magazine wanting to enlist her modeling abilities. Let's keep this on the QT, so we can selfishly continue to be spoiled with more MMG videos.

Oh love the star time lapse! I did a multi month bike trip a few years ago, slept under the stars, got to the point I could look at the stars and figure out how many hours to sunrise. It was a pretty tough trip, the best kind! Thanks for bringing us along!

I always camp with a nice strong fixed blade knife, and you have said that you do too. It's common to hear someone in the distance, but less common to hear them actually at your campsite. Stay safe, and have that knife close at at all times. It can be a logistical challenge hiking/camping with a dog, as well as all your normal gear, but "bad guys" generally prefer not to mess with a protective dog. (GREAT VIDEO! Beautiful Scenery!)

Misty you are a brave one but no one should be wandering around some other campsite at night. The new lens did it's job and brought us some nice shot, but your being your first time great job, but the drone OMG! wow along with the choice of music hands up, Amazing. Thanks for Sharing and be safe.
