A fascinating dive into the AI fear mongering orchestrated by its developers. Mathematician Roger Penrose believes the developers have “lost the plot” and that AI should have been called AC - Artificial Cleverness, the reason being intelligence involves consciousness and machines don’t utilize consciousness. Machines operate under the fundamental principals of classical mechanics which means they’re disposable without us having to be emotionally attached or concerned about the machines demise. Inflated egos are definitely at play together with a pressing desire to become wealthier and more financially powerful because in their world money is power and that’s a rather sad state of affairs (for them).
