Great documentary.
Only thing missing is that the PS1 also was a great CD music player, that even artists used for the audio quality.

Man, Norio Ohga was a real renaissance man, LOL.

kutoragi's ps1 memory card on astrobot playroom

Nintendo and Sega created a giant gaming juggernaut because of their arrogance and foolish mindsets.

You need to do a history on the Wii and the Wii U

97 not 95 for ps1 in america. Grand Turismo, Resident Evil director’s cut, and Lara’s Croft: Tomb Raider were the most memorable games for me.

Another banger. Lots of twists and turns, interesting characters, and it seems like it all shook out how it should. You're like a wrestling promoter setting up heels and faces, then letting the program play out. Personally, I prefer the ones where the heels lose and the faces win, like this one.

wow very interesting what goes on behind the scenes. loved it keep going love the way you tell the stories.

I guess we're kind of fortunate that Sega of Japan didn't aligned with sony.  Sega made some really stupid decisions towards the end they could have brought Sony down with them

The two videos I've watched (so far) on this channel have been amazing!  How did this kind of content appear out of nowhere?  This channel will probably blow up.

Didn't Atari do the same thing to Nintendo after a misunderstanding of Donkey Kong on a rival console?

23:22 i remember the footage for FF for project dream as it was known. Didn't look half bad for real time polygons.

The Sony HQ Tower kind of looks like the PS5 and the tower next to it looks like the PS4, I wonder if that was deliberate in the design of the consoles.

To Nintendo and Sega, Sony PlayStation is a supervillain. What they weren't aware of was the back story they created.
Well done Kutaragi! Your honor is well deserved. And credits also to Olaf Olafsson - he is the Nintendo's Kirby of Sony that is, the defender.

i had both the PS1 and PS2 growing up.. they're a huuge pillar of my childhood. i eventually out-aged gaming for a time, and 360 only came into my life because i was dating a guy who had multiple 360s at the height of its popularity [he kept repairing his whenever the RROD appeared]. i was in my early 20s during all this and was doing my own thing.. but watching him play games like Bioshock stayed in my head till i picked the controller back up years later. watching Microsofts downfall, and Sony taking absolute advantage and not only kicking them, but continuing to stab them while down, was PEAK! it's what made me grab a PS4 over the One. i waited over 2 whole ass years to get the PS5 hahah! there's a 360 stuffed in the corner of one of our closests, along with a bunch of games, collecting dust.. but my fiance and i don't care for Microsoft anymore. we'll never go back

It's so weird that Sony of all companies were the ones who actually did what Nintendidn't.

I love how well you explained this story. Hope to see more from you

11:02 "DEW IT!"

Nintendo: “I think I’m going to regret about humiliating Sony.”

Amazing video ❤
