gaming during the PS2 era was the best, so many great memories.

That PS2 controller with Screen the reason the Vibration is not working is sometimes the PS2 motherboard has a fuse that blows over time that disables the vibration

I was stationed on an aircraft carrier in 2002 - in Japan. My modded PS2 had a similar display on top, and was a shop favorite for winding down. Sometimes we'd be able to connect to a larger TV, but most of the time that little screen was the only escape from long days of launching planes and dropping bombs. One of the best tech purchases I ever made, my 'portable' PS2 made a lot of sailors hate deployment a little less.
And I won't lie - I was using DVD-R rips, and burned copies for anyone else doing this on 'the boat. As an electronics tech, I'd even install mod chips to support the cause. These were Japanese PS2's, and when we went back to the US would need the mod to play legit discs, after all. You'll be happy to know that none of us took our PS2's with us, they stayed with the shops.

I'm 50 now. I miss late 90's / early 2000 tech. The world was a better place. RIP VooDoo and Q3

3:27 privacy display in 2003, this thing was ahead of its time.😭

I had that Intec screen controller back in the day. I got it for like 7 bucks from GameStop. They had the controller and accessories in their used accessories section(no case though). I'm not sure they even knew what they had because they weren't exactly being sold cheap at MSRP.

You best believe I scooped that up ASAP. I loved that thing though. Speakers on that thing could crank.

I had the MadCatz screen on my PS2 and one for my Gamecube. I thought it was neat playing Final Fantasy 11 on it when the TV was in use by my roommates.

This video should of been named every console screen made 😂

That Mad Catz screen came from Best Buy Store 420, which is located in Virginia Beach.  Crazy seeing something from the part of the country I live in end up on one of your videos.

PS2 = Generational Leap in Technology.
PS5 - Generational Leap in Greed.

Saturdays suck… then Denki comes on.

Wow I still have that intec controller but the silver model.😅

The PS2 is my first and only console, that screen could comming handly.

I have the Intec PS2 screen NIB i got at goodwill, eventually screen started dying. I think the caps crapped out and i never tried to fix. I also have the Intec PSone screen, and it still works! I got TonyHax on it, and use it to play in my car with lighter adapter. 😄

I had a screen similar to that MadCatz one (if not the same) I used to sit in the backseat of my car between classes at college and play PS1/PS2 and SNES games on it. One day it quit working so I threw it away and took all my games and consoles out of my car and boy am I glad I did cause not too long after my car was broken into and attempted to be hot wired and they took all my school supplies and slashed my Nike bookbag and you can bet all those games and consoles would have been history! Oh, and all this happened in a church parking lot... the cops did nothing!

I want that video screen for the PlayStation 2! Where did you get it?

You had to live back in those days to understand why portable screens were a thing for game consoles. Like when portable DVD players with screens came out. Hand held game consoles had their limitations compared to a home game console. So the idea was to make those home game consoles portable to take anywhere you go and you wouldn't need a television to play games.

I own a pair of """VR""" glasses for the PS2. They're called "Eye-Trek Olympus" and instead of what we are used to with modern VR glasses, this set just gives the impression of having a static big 4:3 tv in front of you. It's pretty fun to use, but unfortunately the in-ear plastic earphones (dirty buds) are no more than serviceable, as the foam covers have long turned to dust.

Loved the video!

Ngl i was lucky to have a ps2, but i always dreamt of having the screen, even though looking back it would of been horrible compared to on the TV 😂💚

Crash Bandicoot on the PS2 along with Need For Speed Most Wanted is TOP TIER! I miss this generation of gaming... I still have my consoles from the big 3!
