No CGI can create such an atmosphere of fear

"Trick us again child, and your suffering will be legendary, even in Hell."  Quotes like this are why Pinhead was so fucking badass!!!

Pinhead seems to have had a fondness for Kirsty.  Several times he could have just put a world of pain on her quickly, but instead he has these discussions with her, lets her explore in another meeting and never inflicts any physical pain on her body.  She should feel privileged that he was always quite gentle with her.  He would give her some verbal threats to remind her who’s in charge, but never carry them out. Kind of reminds me of Hannibal Lector’s interactions with Clarice.

If Kristy didnt have that picture of old Pinhead she would have been screwed lol

Crazy how Pinhead didn’t even recognize himself in the photo. Evil can take you to the point where u don’t even know who you are.

Pinhead:
"Someone else, you think, escaped us?  Who is this charming, gorgeous man?! Oh, Look at his stunning face! He must be the most beautiful man, in the world."

Why is Doug Bradleys voice sooooo incredible?

And remember kids, all of these costumes and props were actually made by hand by skilled artists.

One of the best horror movie series ever made

Fine acting here. You can actually see that in that moment Pinhead remembers who he once was, and what's been done to him. He wants to help the girls, and he wants to make Leviathan pay. Which he has no chance of doing, but still, he died with his boots on.

Doug Bradley was at his best in this movie, so subtle so charismatic with always a quiet menace about  him, then a new cenobite comes in and dispatches him out of the movie in seconds just as the conversation between him and Kirsty was becoming interesting, i remember the first time seeing it and it was so jarring, then i had to wait for hellraiser 3 to see him again and by that stage they absolutely pissed all over his character turning him into a substandard freddy goon surrounded by goofy looking cenobites, absolutely criminal!!

I love how at 1:07, you can tell how Pinhead doesn't really believe what he's about to say before Kristy interrupts him.

I think everyone wanted more Pinhead/Kirsty after this scene. I definitely did

And that's the true horror of this universe - the Cenobites are victims themselves.   And possibly not beyond redemption.

Your suffering will be legendary even in hell. Classic line

2:36 that singing sound

Dr. Channard was just the thing on the end . That was the Levithan Cenobite . Look at the beginning . The snakes putting the pins in Doug Bradley's head . The reason he was killed is because he was starting to remember who he was . No rebellion . People have always got this wrong  . Pinhead was the strongest Cenobite . but he was facing his maker . How do you think it turned him back to a human . He earned my respect here . Once he was human , he could have ran , but he chose to face his own demise with courage . I think that was why the fans liked him . He had strength even without his powers .

"Time...to play!" ~Pinhead, The Lead Cenobite
one of my favorite lines from Pinhead

2:14 I like how Pinhead gave Channard the now I’m focused on you look.

the vocal effect on the female Cenobite is so freakin cool.
