I was watching this, and I got my first period. Thanks to you, I actually handled it properly. I'm sure if I didn't watch you, I would stick the pad the wrong way up, be afraid to even tell my mom, and think I'm dying because first periods are irregular. So, thank you! ❤

2:01 That happens to me 😔 the pad shifts and like flips up? Either the side or the back or front. For me, it doesn't really hurt luckily.

I'm 30 years old and I'm still learning to be confident about my periods. Guess what, I no longer care rather I accidentally stained my bed or not, it just happens. To be honest, there's no shame in dealing with blood stains, its not a big deal since they do come out with cold, soapy water or hydrogen peroxide. This means I need a bigger pad instead of panty liners because they aren't as absorbent as actual pads. When I was living with my foster mother while she's alive, she didn't get the right absorbency and I was in my teens at that time. She threatened to punish me for not sleeping with a towel under me. That's not cool. I've learned having a heavy flow is not my fault, it's been this way since I was 11.

Lemme explain point #3. Basically a few situations could happen as you listed in this video. A) pad shifts when your body shifts B)pad was stored in a funky position for a while and got bent C) there is not sticky there ( this happens with generic pad brands. The sticky side is HORRIBLE! IT AIN’T EVEN STKY HALF THE TIME FOR ME!) hope this helps! ❤

When i was 13 i was on my period i thought it ended because i didnt bleed on one day the next day we were going to the airport and in the car i realized MY PERIOD DIDN'T END when we got to the airport i tried to go to the bathroom but we were in a rush because our plane was literally gonna leave in 30-40 minutes so when we got to the gate there were 5 mins till boarding and so i went to the bathroom istg there was SO MUCH blood it was all iver my jeans and even on my hoodie 😭😭 i dont remember but ig i was walking behind my family because my mom def wouldve told me i didnt even have a paf on me cause it was in my suitcase so i just used tissue worst day ever honestly

2:41 it already happened to me a few times because I would move to much during the night so my pad would just start to fold and move around and let’s say it’s not fun when you take it off.

I LOVE how open and honest you are talking about this stuff! I just starting watching period videos to help my 13 year old niece be ready for it. I am now more than 10 years post menopause. Soooo glad I no longer have to deal with this. But seems there are new things available these days that were not around 10+ years ago (period panties, reusable pads, cups, discs...)

FUN FACT:
I don't know about other countries, but in the U.K there's this thing call Period Pants, and it allows you to have comfortable underwear to put you pad in. It is also used for double protection
