I struggle to stay focused and watch any video that lasts more than an hour and then I see a 3hs long video about Shin Megami Tensei. I watched 2 and a half hours at once and only stopped because I had to do something, but I think I would have watched it completely if not.
This was a great video

A 3 hour video about SMT?

What is this my birthday?

This is the most one channel has ever seemed to be created specifically for me as some kind of bizarre psy-op.

Dylan, is this how I figure out that you're not only an SMT fan, but also that Amon holds your knowledge and will join you to become a Nahobino to recreate the world?

I don’t think I said this before on your channel but the BG music choices are hypontic , amazing and frankly steal me sometimes that I have to rewind a few seconds back . And not to mention the editing too , I can literally feel the skill , passion and work in the videos . It is truly nostalgia in the making .

1:01:40 well of course, Tokyo was 2 weeks from developing a nuclear weapon.  :P

3:22:23 bro got lost media

Looking forward to the SMT2 video, whenever it might be! Megaten is and always has been such a cool setting. I do miss the 80's/90's cyberpunkish art stuff though. It, like Phantasy Star's science-fantasy, only existed as a product of its era.

The Gushing Jar could be a reference to Kinkaku and Ginkaku - googling that brings up the Naruto characters, but they are based on a minor story of Journey to the West, where Wukong is able to trap the demons in a jar and flask. Dragonball's Mafuba/Evil Containment Wave is likely based off the same thing.

Holy crap man thank you for your contribution to lost media. Thats a HUGE thing you did managing to snag all those manga and scan them

This was an amazing video! And incredible job digging up lost media

Another great video that’s well narrated and well edited as usual Dylan. Your RE retrospective was a banger and I’d been looking forward to the next one. Very happy to see that it was SMT a series that’s been on my list for so long being a persona fan. Keep up the great work that you do brother. The vibes are always perfect on this channel

Oh my God an SMT video and it's not persona for once............. I am crying this is great!

Holy shit!  One of my absolute favorite franchises by one of my favorite content creators starting off with a quote from one of my favorite authors.  Most definitely excited for the next few hours of this.  Firing up the Steam Deck as I do and playing some SMT V Vengeance, might switch over to Raidou if I'm not feeling it.  Definitely helping out my mindset during a very stressful time.  My gratitude is immeasurable

I see mainline SMT i click

Haven't seen anyone bring it up but holy shit the reaction I got from hearing Big O and Death Note music being used lol. Great vid, music choice elevated it even higher

Regarding the point of demons and magic being tied to data, I recall it being mentioned somewhere that many of the kinds of incantations and rituals used in demon summoning are ultimately a series of strict rules and actions. What the protagonist of Digital Devil Story did was to basically automate the process using code which then served as the basic for the demon summoning program.

Excellent and insightful video. But what I truly have to respect is the decision to scan the mangs for the community instead of squatting on it for fear of it losing value, as is so often the case with lost media. Absolute chad.

1:36:30 you don't have to grind in most JRPGs, though, especially in this one since you'll do enough leveling up by wandering around.

She Shin on my Megami til I Tensei
