If I recall correctly, Lythero was suddenly and without much warning told by his landlord that they needed to move out, which put him in a bit of a bind and he needed money for a new place to live in a short period of time. Things ended up being resolved without much issue and he had a fair bit of money left over and thought "What do I do with all this money people donated?" and decided to  pay people to animate bits for his videos. It's since become a staple of his channel to hire a bunch of different animators for his videos.

Also Lythero is married and his wife does the thumbnail art for his videos as well as his channel emotes.

The reason Phoenix Wright can go Ultra Instinct and walk through Ryu's super is, the Judge super deletes the hit spheres for the beam but does not hit and cancel the animation if done full screen.

This Lobby Shenanigans video is a compilation across multiple sessions with multiple groups.  The fights that have the names and banners are taken from the game's natural online mode, and the ones without are played over Parsec, streaming the normal offline versus interface across the internet, which are also where all the mod characters are showcased in.  The stuff with Russian Badger and Heavenly IIRC was training for a tournament Badger was hosting, which he has his own video covering.  This is a really chaotic way to learn anything about MvC3, in other words.  😅

27:32 “I like her accent” Lucy’s Scottish! …incidentally, so is Morrigan, the girl she’s thirsting over

Now, you have truly dived into the madness and fun of Lythero. Enjoy the ride, Sunny. Hope you've learned your UMvC3 combos.

Btw, the one who spoke Spanish as Dante is iheartjustice/Javi. He's one of the three Shenanigoons (the other two being Lythero and Zyzx_, of course), and he plays UMvC3 professionally. You'll see him a lot in Lythero's other UMvC3 videos as well as his FighterZ videos but not his Sonic ones. Lastly, what Javi said in Spanish wasn't accurate to the subtitles (on purpose and as a joke). What he actually said was, "I wasn't invited." He's referring to the fact that he wasn't a part of helping Russianbadger and his friends when it came to learning UMvC3 cuz he wasn't invited. He probably was too good at the game.

Also, half of this video his Lythero and his friends playing modded UMvC3 while the other half is of him and Zyzx_ teaching Russianbadger and his friends UMvC3.

Hunk is from resident evil, it’s a codename that stands for Human Unit Never Killed, because he regularly takes suicide missions and comes back the sole survivor

To understand just how good Lythero is at this game, Phoenix Wright is low-tier because he's a feast or famine character that you'll need to spend time finding three pieces of evidence to get rolling. The evidence is entirely RNG, so you'll eventually pick up bad evidence that needs to be thrown away. You'll have to land Bridge to the Turnabout, which requires 3 pieces of good evidence, to activate in Turnabout Mode. However, Turnabout Mode allows Phoenix Wright become one of the best characters in the game (Technically the 2nd best character in the game because of Dark Phoenix) with the strongest Level 3 Hyper Combo in the game (Technically the 2nd strongest Level 3 Hyper Combo, but Dark Angel requires Devil Trigger, which requires 1 bar of meter, to execute, thus it's often referred to as a "Level 4" Hyper Combo) for a limited amount of time. To master this character, you need great resource and time management, and Lythero is good with him that he looks like he plays him like he's a mid to mid-high tier character.

The dog that you constantly see is called Missile, and he's Phoenix Wright's grab and air grab.

The guy with the  silver hair in a red suit with Phoenix Wright's moves is Miles Edgeworth. He's basically the Shadow to Phoenix Wright's Sonic.

The other Phoenix Wright you see is Phoenix and Maya from Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, a version of Phoenix Wright who was disbarred from being a lawyer. They're what people call a "Puppet Character," meaning that you can control both characters.

The guy in red and black is called "Deadpool" and his whole character is "The 4th Wall? What's that?"

On that same note, She-Hulk was Deadpool before Deadpool.

Those cute little yellow and blue robots are Servbots from the Mega Man Legend series. They mostly serve Tron Bonne and the Bonne family.

There are tournaments for this game. A prominent place to find these is on the YouTube channel "Tampa Never Sleeps," which is ran by Tong and other people. Another prominent tournament scene is hosted by a person called RayRay.

Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 is infamous for its brutally long combo strings that become touch of deaths. A mix-up in this game is something to truly fear because of that fact.

Team Hyper Combos aren't the only way to cancel a taunt. You can also cancel a taunt by activating X-Factor, though X-Factor basically cancels the recovery of all moves. Naturally, Deadpool can cancel his taunt at any time, and his actually has a hitbox attached to it.

The reason why some modded characters have the same names as vanilla characters is mainly because, before 2024, modded characters had to share animations with vanilla characters.

The Akuma that you see in the video is called "Shin Akuma", and his whole deal is that he's a boss version of Akuma. His main gimmick is that if you switch him out, he automatically dies. Later revisions of the mod make you automatically lock in if you're picking him, no support or anchor characters.

34:58 - Javi used a Snap Back, which activates on Frame 2, after Zyzx_ used Devil Trigger, which forced Zyzx_ into another character.

41:07 - This version of Chun-Li is called "Shadow Lady," and she is a secret character from Marvel vs Capcom 1. She has a special move that summons missiles from herself.

56:50 - Lythero particularly highlights Snapping In Phoenix before she has 5 Bars of Meter because, if she dies with 5 Bars of Meter, she becomes Dark Phoenix, *the best* character in the game, infamous for melting health bars and enabling solo comebacks with Level 3 X-Factor.

1:02:04 - Phoenix Wright's "Order in the Court" Hyper Combo turns off all projectile hitboxes, even laser beams. Ryu's Shinku Hadouken is a projectile, so Lythero basically turned off its hitbox.

1:03:32 - Mayor Mike Haggar performed what's called a "Special Cancel" where you can cancel the animation of a Normal Move into a Super Move. All of Haggar's steel pipe attacks are Command Normals, so they can be cancelled into a Special Move, like his Flying Piledriver Special Move. The reason why the edit said that he "caught 'always mashing buttons' Lythero" because Flying Piledriver doesn't have Super Armor, thus can be interrupted. Lythero is infamous for pressing buttons on incoming.

1:05:08 - Frank West is the protagonist of Dead Rising. He is a journalist & professional photographer who, famously, covered wars.

Edit: I apologize for the edits, I'm really into this game's fighting scene.

Don't know who said Maya from Phoenix Wright was 14, because she was never that young even in the first game, and at the point in the timeline of that outfit for Phoenix, with the blue beanie, she'd actually be in her mid-20s.

3:00 Just to brace yourself, the Silver Campaign video is over 2 hours long. Its premium content, but B E E F Y.

@52:00 That is just how DNOpls is.  MvC3 is probably his favorite game of all time and it shows, Sunny.  You saw how Lythero and Gary were just bodying Badger and the crew in this and the tournament video?  That’s what DNO does to them on the regular!

1:01:54 Ah yes, the Super Hadouken nullication.
That's not invincibility frames, Wright's special has the ability to delete hit spheres, he positioned it so it removed all hit spheres from the Super Hadouken without interrupting the animation, so Ryu was stuck launching it while Wright could waltz on through because he nullified its ability to hurt him.
Lythero has a short where he has this very clip but adds an explanation.

10:11 the reason why that’s funny is because that little kick was part of the input you had to make in order to do the Raging Demon move, but he failed.

Lythero has a video on the "Out Of Context Lythero" channel that explains HOW HE WALKED THROUGH that beam. 1:02:01
clip is called "Don't Do A Super Hadouken!"
Oh yeah, "Hit Spheres" are a thing in UMVC3 and even Virgil has them.

"Hell yeah, I've been waiting for her to watch some more Lyth—IS THAT THE FUCKING DUELLOGS!?"

The best part of his lobby shenanigans is just absolute random funny stuff they say

I love the "oh no, im getting mixed" with the ptsd look into the scream. i died omg.

"How modded is this game?" ...So modded that people can make Mike Haggar (the buff muscle man with green pants and suspenders) do a Bayonetta Dance emote... That's how insane the modding community for this game is.
This is the 3rd most modded fighting game behind Smash Bros. Modding and M.U.G.E.N (which is a fighting game that lets you import ANY fighting game character... and I mean ANY fighter!)

Edit: I almost spat my coffee seeing the green-screen pause moment. That was hilarious.

The one guy in the red hoodie (Javi) is the same person that Gary was referencing in Badgers Vergil vid about being from Las Vegas and taught him MvC to where he beat a bunch of champions at the game.

Which why Gary says “I TAUGHT HIM WELL CHAT! THE RESETO KAIBA!”

1:02:20 So Lythero also has a clips channel that uploads small bits of his videos in the form of shorts and for the short of this moment he actually explains what's happening here. For some godforsaken reason the Judges Gavel just deletes the hitspheres for this particular move of Ryu's

You have to watch Lythero's universe 7 boss raid, it's actual peak.
