I came to this video after hearing that Brad lost his fight with cancer. This song reminds me of my time in Afghanistan. Driving down crappy roads, passing through villages, waiting to get back home to my wife and daughters. It was like a movie in my mind. Brad, may God bless you and keep you. May his perpetual light shine upon you and grant you rest.

He is such an underrated song writer. Beautiful song!

Rest easy with Jesus, Brad. Thank you for everything.

It's is one of the hardest things you will ever go through,  reminds me what is missing,  my husband passed away about  5 years ago.  I talk to him a lot.  REST EASY JOHN,  WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU.

This song, and "When I'm Gone" both came out during the time I was in the Marines (2002-2006), and deployed to Iraq. They both still VERY VERY much remind me of those times, and I can deeply relate to them.

I'm sure countless people cried themselves to sleep listening to this at the beginning of the Iraq/Afghanistan War.

For a few years 3 Doors Down was one of those popular, high-selling rock bands, right up there with Creed and Nickelback.  They get a lot of shit, get lumped in with that scene and called "butt rock", blah blah blah.  But all those bands are a lot more talented and have a lot better music than they get credit for.

When I'm gone has to be my favorite from them

I love this song but I can't listen to it without crying -- it belonged to the absolutely most heartbreaking time of my life.  It's still a  beautiful song.

This song cuts deep

'Duck & Run' and 'Loser' and 'Kryptonite' are 3 bangers from 3 Doors Down - these guys can rock!

Proud of these Mississippi boys. 🥰✌️

This is a good song to sing to in the car.

This song takes me back to when Eddie Guerrero passed away and WWE made a tribute video and used this song

Lmfaoo they already did this one

"I'm Here Without CHEW baby!!" lol

Crazy that this song wasn’t written with the wars in mind.

Thank you ALL for your service!!!💜💜💜🤟🤟🤟🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

This song is similar to “When I’m Gone” but I like “When I’m Gone” better, because it has more of an emotional punch.

❤ Brad you are beautiful and Im so happy you are in heaven.
