They just don't make entertainers like Roger anymore! Truly one of a kind.

King of the Road, one of the most catchy songs ever.  When a kid I used to sing it over and over and over. Roger was so entertaining.

I smiled all the way through this.  Roger was the bomb.

He would have been 85 today. RIP. Did you know that Chug A Lug is number 9 out of out of 100 for the greatest country drinking songs? I like Doo Wacka Doo.

RIP Bob Moore. Played double bass on KING OF THE ROAD, Patsy Cline's CRAZY and Brenda Lee's I'M SORRY, among 17,000 other recordings. Nashville A-Team, RCA Studios A & B royalty.

Roger  miller  11  Gramys.  and  great  songs,  the  shit  today  is  so  bad,  it  stinks  a  mile  away.

It’s amazing how many hits were written with the same three chords. Beautiful tunes expertly played and sung.

He was such an extraordinary talent. His way with lyrics was unique. On top of all that, he had  a superb singing voice.

He sure was right about KING OF THE ROAD.

My grandpa sang us this gems almost to the perfection of this genius singer/writer. Always be grateful for to the introduction to these classics❤

The way he knew it would be a loved song for years to come and he was absolutely right

What a unique talent. He had a string of hits, not just on the country charts, but Billboard, too.

How’s things going? Well some of them are coming back.

Absolutely love this... Guy is such a legend... My folks had an old scratched LP of his we used to listen to when we were kids in the 80's. Awesome memories

Great footage of both Roger and Jimmy

The difference between entertainment and mindless distraction.

Roger Miller. What a talented, entertaining man from the long-lost years of great country music. Lost him way too soon. RIP.

The guy who wrote ‘Doo Whacka-Doo,’ also wrote ‘King of the Road’ and the highly-regarded Broadway musical ‘Big River.’ Genius!!

I love watchin Roger and Jimmy together

No lip syncing on these old shows. Either ya got it or you don't. Roger had it.. ;)
