It's actually kinda interesting that Nemesis is smart enough to know to shoot down that Umbrella affiliated helicopter because he's put two and two together and knows a stars agent is trying to use it to escape
So, in the non-canon ending, where Jill and Carlos get their own helicopter, does Barry still show up off-screen? "Oh... jeez... you guys made it out fine, huh? I was gonna swoop on in and save the day but I guess you didn't need me. Whoops."
man I hate it whenever a series of small explosions goes off on my neck, it's been happening more often than usual and there's nothing I can do about it because people have hoarded all the Adravil off the shelves.
"So it's just like old times, eh Jill?" Remember that time I saved you from being turned into a Jill sandwich? Back in the mansion? Or how about the time I saved you from that stupid giant plant? You're lucky I just so happened to come swooping in with this helicopter at this exact moment without knowing anything about your location just after you beat the final boss! This ain't Deus Ex Machina or anything. You know me, Jill, I've been doing this stuff since the very first game." I look forward to watching it happen in SuperGreatFriend's playthrough. See you then.
SGF, your commentary is always so chill but hilarious and 20:54 made me lose it. I love how your tone goes from somewhat defeated and understanding ("I did... sigh notice out of the corner of my eye...") but grows more enthusiastic as you ponder the opportunities, ultimately ending with a strong belief and encouragement of forbidden love... just as you did with Mr.X. Maybe Umbrella's true plan is to have both sides unite via a Romeo and Juliet union between Leon and Mr.X and Jill and Nemesis. Thanks for opening my eyes to the truth, can't wait to watch the remake play-through videos. Stay safe and have a nice day!
Having seen both now, I'd say RE2 is definitely the better game. Probably one of the best on the PS1 and Im sad I missed that one as a kid.
RE3 is interesting as a finale to the Ps1 trilogy, but I think you probably had to have played and liked RE 1 and 2 to really appreciate it fully at the time.
I imagine jumping off to escape nemesis instead of pushing him off would logically give Nicholai enough time to rush to the helicopter, instead of catching him in the hallway and stalling him until Nemesis gets him.
1:00:07 I love this stupid puzzle so much SGF just bumrushes through the game in half the time it took him the first time, then everything grinds to a screeching halt for this laborious puzzle
