This video doesn't do justice how bonkers of a situation this was. Under the pump was an understatement by the commentator at the beginning of the video. The other batsmen, including Williamson were unable to play at all. Mccullum came in and absolutely took the bowlers apart. It was a privileges to watch this live
That was 100% Brendan McCullum. Brilliant innings and counter attacking cricket, saved NZ blushes but a lot of it was just slogging. Top edges going for 6, panicked field places and general chaos in the field. It was definitely intimidating for the bowlers and I thought Smith didn't handle it well. In the end it was all to no avail as Australia comfortably won the Test match and Baz didn't get to win his last test match which was a shame because it was a signature innings.
Corey Anderson was a heck of a cricketer and one of the biggest hitters you will ever have seen - ever. Injury cut short what could have been an outstanding career as an allrounder in Test cricket
i remember this day, when B Mac play his final test i was also playing under 15 SL first class game in school, i was shocked after seeing he broke record in final matchπ β€
Very gracious of Hazlewood to have two fly slips and bowl a half volley. Statistics say Kane Williamson is NZ's best ever batsman. No argument. However, there are more ways to measure "best" than exist in the Wisden Almanack. McCullum the best competitive batsman we've ever seen from NZ. Marty Crowe still the best ever in elegance.
