It would be really cool if Steven was born as a unicorn but gained his wings after maturing. If he were born as an alicorn like Flurry Heart, I'd imagine Garnet and Amethyst would have some questions and Pearl would have some explaining to do. 😂

Fun fact: Steven’s hair is based off of a rose (bloomed) and Pearl’s hair is based off of a rose (bud)

Wait I just had an idea a thought since amethyst loves to shapeshift she would be perfect as a changeling but more specifically a changeling that doesn't feed on love basically think of amethyst as thorax so she can still have her ability to choose her form but it would also play into her mischievous nature

missed opportunity to make amethyst a changeling, it would have been so perfect XD

Wait here me out- Amethyst is one of the changelings in My Little Pony but she takes form as the pony you designed.

I'll be honest, I think season 1 Steven should be a blank flank
Also I love all of these designs! Garnet and Amethyst are probably my favorite and I love Amethyst's story the most. These are gorgeous, thank you

Since Gems 💎emerge fully grown, I feel like in this AU, Homeworld gems would created without cutie marks✨and be discouraged from discovering theirs (and be rejuvenated if they did) because it makes them an individual and different from the status quo. So, when Rose Quartz starts the Crystal Gems, she helps each gem find their own special talents and cutie marks, just like how she encouraged Bismuth to build for herself instead of just for the elite gems.🐴🌈

I personally feel like S1 Steven would have been a blank flank, mostly because he was still figuring out who he was, where he stood in the CG, trying to make friends, etc.

Garnet for some reason gaves me zebra vibes but idk. Amethyst could be a reformed changeling considered defective by the hive and joining Rose Quartz because she was attracted by love but idk

Speaking about other characters - I like the idea of Jasper being a pegasus (which makes her similar to Amethyst), but so huge hew own wings can hardly lift her, so she only uses them for balance, slowing a fall (or for attacks maybe).

I think that having Steven start off as an earth pony since at the beginning he essentially seems like a normal human with a gem belly button but overtime he gains the horn and wings as he grows in his power.

Also i think that the cookie cat would be another good cutie mark since that is the thing that helped him get first access his shield and powers; it kinda reminds me of a pony discovering their special talent

I think it could also be fitting for this version of Steven to be a blank flank ~ but the slice of pizza is a really cute idea!

It would be funny if Steven didn't have a cutie mark and was looking for it, but after "Alicornization" he got it, but he wouldn't be happy, like when Steven found out that he was Pink Diamond and I think he would have denied it all the time, but still accepted who he is.

would this mean that the diamonds are alicorns?

1:31 I don’t really think he’d have a cutie mark in the first season because if I remember correctly he doesn’t feel like he fits in and does not really know what he’s going to do

2:19 I would say his cutie mark should be a cookie cat cookie and music notes (to hint at his musical side) 9:49  a paint blob referencing the time she was a model

In universe wouldn't the crystal gems be from the crystal empire? I think that could be really cool. Love the designs btw

An idea would be for Steven to eventually become an alicorn after being a unicorn then earning his cutie mark which might be like a pink diamond with a rose quartz gem in the middle and amethyst should totally be a changing

Please do a part 2 and do Connie 😊

Very cute!

An idea for Peridot- she has a prosthetic horn or griff claws, much like her limb enhancers. (Griff claws inspired by a design I saw for a Team Fortress 2 × MLP AU, funnily enough.)
