I've been shouting this for years, Blood and Wine could be it's own game.

I like how the music sounds more "Heroic" during Combat. Compared to base game.

The first time i played the game, try as I might I just could not beat Detlaff 😬 on my second playthrough everything I did in the game was geared towards that final battle. I get all the best armour, legendary swords and all the necessary skill points. I saved the battle right until the very end after doing almost all of the quest lines including side quests. One I was ready I played Blood and Wine. And I absolutely annihilated him in record time. Amazing game! One of the best ever.

The reason the Witcher 3 is so good is down to its author Andrzej Sapkowski who created the world. The whole experience is enhanced by reading the books first. Then reading the prequel Crossroads of Ravens featuring Geralt setting out as a young Witcher from Kaer Morhen. Sapkowski brilliantly shows Geralt as a young idealistic Witcher, beginning to learn life lessons on the path. Since CDPR’s games happen after the books, having the background brings Geralt to life in a new way for players.

Myana Buring who plays Tissaea de Vries in the Netflix show, voices Anna Henrietta. Though I stopped watching the Netflix show after the first season since it ruined the story later and only Henry Cavil had the gravitas to be the Witcher.

Regis is my favourite character

CDPR is brilliant at casting its characters. Regis is exactly as I expect him to look and as pompous as in the books. Also Sigismund Dijkstra is perfectly portrayed, he is described as tall and like a shaved pig, portrayed brilliantly in the game. Yet he is probably a genius.

I still prefer the storyline in hearts of stone but man everything else blood and wine nails. I will wholly admit its the best part of the game. Hope songs of the past delivers

B&W is so good, I could't play it to the end. I could'nt decide what to do. 😂 To end my dilemma I decided to not kill Detlaff because of Regis and Geralt. If Regis kills him, he has to flee, it's a death sentence for him. They will not follow him, but no moonshine parties anymore, no friend in the neighborhood. And that's not okay, for both of them, and Geralt owes Regis too much. He saved his life twice, he indirectly saved Ciri, this contract is impossible for Geralt, he can't fulfill it, Detlaff is unkillable for him. So no matter what I think about Detlaff, Geralt can't sentence Regis to death for doing his job. I don't think he could ever truly enjoy his reward if he did that. So I can finally replay and finish it, problem solved.

It's very good but imo The Old Hunters is the best dlc ever made.

Triss is a manipulator and I would always choose Yen.
