They've kept the house and Sophie is running a B&B with a few furnished rooms. But the Kelly house still looks the same.

OMG! What a bunch of procrastinators. I'd love to see the progress though. I wonder if the boyfriend decided to call it quits when he didn't get his way about living in the flat, or was he their son. The young woman had no idea about getting things done. The only one clearly working was the mother and she can't carry the rest of her family.

I’ve never seen such a lazy family! Even when they have one foot in the fire, they do nothing. What a shame.

4 adults and no jobs bringing in money to eat so to speak … so much for the Prince’s trust and that book . it. Took Ruth to push that button

2007 to2026 and no one in the family had any sense about them to work on the building a little at a time???????!!!!! pathetic! AND the crappy government needs to forgive all those inheritance taxes!

I think the heirs to huge properties need to make community around them. The Lords & Barons of the past had a whole community of servants. As we're not in that chaste system anymore if they offered places to stay in exchange for trades they could have all kinds of construction happening for free. The tradesmen would have a comfortable place to live in a community around them to combine ideas and resources with. If they vetted families that can't afford rent and made suites for maintenance people, restoration people, grounds people and designers they could have many families investing in the recovery of this building at little expense.

So much potential! There's the Tudor house from one side and the Georgian house on the other and both facades maintain their original heritage. It reminds me of Castle Goring, in that sense, as CG has a Gothic style castle on one side, and a Grecian Palladian on the other, though my understanding is that this was the original plan with Castle Goring and the structure all dates from the same period. The two facades on the Kelly house are the result of generations of heritage, from way way back when the family had motivation and work ethic. Point being is that the two distinct structures make the house unique. It would be interesting to renovate them to resemble their original heritage, with modern conveniences, and rent them as holiday lets with a bit of a time traveler's appeal. Perhaps even host events dressed the part.

What energy? What drive?

This estate is fortunate to have grant companies that have an interest to help, train and they can LISTEN and LEARN. Boyfriend doesn’t acknowledge any experience in running, managing to let the flats. He has no reason to act posh. Warren & wife need jiggle projects even though I am 6 months late commenting.

Trying to paint this pile before work is done is rather like dressing the baby before the bath.

I wonder what has happened in the interim years? I thought the wife of owner and mother to the daughter was lovely, and her husband is likeable in a needing a sharp crack of the whip sort of way, but the daughter and son in law... well, tbh I don't have a lot of confidence in thier being the saviors of this houses future. The son in law seems quite self-entitled thinking, considering his career was stated as making (ugly) picnic blankets, and he is apparently living rent free in someone elses home. I do not see him bringing in much bacon. ... I also do not think the daughter, being basically self employed making cocolates and selling another company's products, can be classed as a profitable carreer either. I think theyboth need a real reality check...Hope time has proved me wrong though.

They are all entirely delusional. Waited decades to do anything at all, and then somehow think people will pay to stay in their hovel…

Sell the dump and move on to some condo somewhere before the whole damn thing is nothing but a pile of bricks…😂
