A very fair assessment of the negatives of that model IMO.  I'd also probably add the difference of the wheel track between front and rear.

I had a 2019 model of which i put a safari snorkel on. I believe there's a "sock" available for dusty conditions.
I used mine mainly for towing, looking back wished I'd had the rear axle widening done. New owner very happy with it.

the 79 series is a top work horse had wagons before the 79 and totally loved them but the 79 is a robust truck, awesome vid

Great video mate!  Ronny Dahl had the same comment about his new rigs hubs as well.

Who would have thought that the same filler has been there since the 70's!

Good video, surprised you didn’t mention the wheel track which you have corrected with different offset rims.
Good video mate

"Just put a farkin one piece snorkel in 'em ..... PLEASE" Haha, so blunt and so real, so nice and true. Great Vid. Thx

I love my 2022 79 series Landcruiser 👍😎🇦🇺

At least Toyota has just made the manual gearbox available in the four cylinder available now.

Level of commitment for sure.
is the constant services your doing 🤙🏻 good on you mate is a blessing to see it roll into workshop on regular basis mate being used for what its design for.
Keep up great content mate

Man I love your videos. Haven’t watched them in a while aye, anyways I still love the rig!

Another great upload 🔥🔥

Put a stubby holder over the fuel cap

You have to understand the auto hubs and when you do, you will know that you can disconnect and have the front drive stationary. In auto mode, shift transfer control to 2H and then reverse a little. Hubs will disconnect the front drive exactly that same as old hubs in FREE. You are correct in that you must stop, select 4H and drive forward (or reverse) to engage. If you are in and out of 4x4 for most of the day, it is better to manually lock them with the spanner and that way you have front drive ready anytime you pull the stubby transfer lever.

We were very happy with the TJM snorkel on our 79 doesn’t require any more holes to drill noticed a lot less dust and debris in the air box

honestly  mate put a safari armax snorkle on it you will see a performance gain immediately

Good honest feedback mate!

1984 was the year of the best LandCruiser, the last of the old shape.

good to know about the fuel cap, I am thinking may be put a new condom to cover it, everytime i fuel it up.

Love what you done with tray mate.
