If you're interested in knowing more about Defender Wolfs, I did a short video about my Wolf and how they differ from civilian Defenders that you can find here. Feel free to add to the information in the video comments:

At the auction, a lot sold between £6-£8k, plus fees of course which combined makes them as expensive as those being offered on the open market, sorted with with MOTs. Very little money to make from these vehicles, unless a lot of effort and money is spent. That of course, if buyers can be found at such high prices.

I worked at a MOD auction in the 90's at " Ashton Down ".. they definitely weren't £11,000 !!! .. .. I chatted with the guys that recovered the vehicles when they got stuck in movements ... their stories were amazing

From the US - congratulations on these LRs. Sold a Series IIA 88 I once owned - the "only car I regret selling"is tatooed on any discussion I have about these vehicles. Hope to replace it one day. Otherwise thanks for the video - enjoyable!

Rotten chassis and bulkhead means the best part of 8k to spend on a 30 year old vehicle, with the exorbitant amount of fees etc there’s lots already in the civilian market for much less money

wow well done Rich,,,,, great video as ever,,,, those high fees are not going to help bidders in the market we face now thou

As one of their staff once said to me "the public don't get to buy the good stuff, all the crap goes in the tender auction "

I just bought a perentie, i can see why here in australia we galvansied the chassis, my 36 year old machine is lovely underneath dispite coming from the surf coast in victoria, another thing i like about the aussie perentie rovers is the lovely 3.9. Litre isuzu diesel.

I suspect the better ones will come later, now that the MOD has made a decision to replace the Defenders. These are just the damaged ones that were being held for spares...
