When I started working with Power BI as a beginner, I thought mastering it meant learning all the DAX functions. Turns out, I was wrong! You only need a few powerful functions to handle most of the work. In this video, I’ll walk you through the Most Valuable Functions (MVFs) in DAX—functions you’ll use repeatedly to solve real-world problems.

Whether you’re preparing for Power BI DAX interview questions or just starting with DAX, this tutorial will help you simplify your approach by focusing on key functions and categories. I’ll explain how these functions work and how to apply them with real examples, making it easy for beginners and those working on scenario-based questions.

If you’re looking for a Power BI DAX tutorial to build your skills or tackle tricky projects, this video is the perfect place to start.

Best platform to learn power BI tricks! Love the way you zoom in and out and keep the font large while explaining.

Thanks Chandeep, finally found a solution for "power bi totals doesn't match'. Great video and explanation.

With non-additive calculations (like MAXX), iterating on a column, you should use DISTINCT instead of VALUES in case of invalid relationships in order to exclude the blank row value (which occurs often in real life scenarios and if someone does not master data modelling - also common in real life). By the way a video on dealing with invalid relationships and all the BLANK issues with the Goodly style would be useful

That was an easy explanation into these functions. Please make more videos on such topics and covering other tools as well! Being a student its difficult for me to afford our courses, but till then I will make the most out of your videos.
