I still find it insane how people are able to find lost COMMERCIALS of all things. Like genuinely HOW

A Dog's Life just shows that some things work better in animation. The idea sounds cute and charming, but the way they decided to do it in live action is really what killed it.

A Dog’s Life fell on its face so Cats could run, and dive head-first into a ditch.

Who the hell buys curtains for a doghouse?

I honestly kinda want to see "A Dog's Life". It looks so bad, it's good

Hey! So for the galaxy boy series, the record is called an audio drama. I have a few of these, including the ones for the original partially lost Moomin anime, and Akane chan (a lost 60s anime!), and most of the time they used audio clips from an episode of the show, so it’s possible it used audio from one of the episodes!

Update: I bought one recently for Galaxy boy and it arrived. Putting it into my vinyl player, one disk plays the theme song and the last one tells a story after some naration

A dog's life looks like a skit that you'd see on So Random. Just because it is so random.
Also, we got Dog with a Blog years later, which used an actual dog instead of a random guy in a costume.

This is why you should record everything (or well, almost everything) you see on TV: you never know when it’s gonna be lost.

If only Slamfest was...

1:31 That’s honestly not THAT bad, especially if it was a kid’s show. But at least it wasn’t ‘Heil Honey I’m Home’. 🤭

Pilots airing on TV for shows that never got picked up used to be a semi-common thing.

imagine the deep offline old archives hidden in personal collections in tokyo basements/archives/libraries - stuff that hasn't been touched even by their owners for decades -  if they're even still alive - imagine all the lost media in the world's landfills

Mario and Pyro on the same thumbnail now that is potential

There are a surprisingly large number of lost Tezuka shows. I know that TV preservation wasn't very good back then, but you'd think being associated with the Godfather of Manga would result in better care.

That Galaxy Boys show has such an adorable design language for the puppets. I immediately thought they looked Astro Boy-ish so them being from a lost Tezuka work made complete sense. I love the way their heads bobble and I like their blinking eyes. Very very cute puppets it's too bad they are lost to time :(

11:23 I'm Mikeykun15/Manakete Mikey. Glad to be featured in the video! Hopefully Mission Uncomfortable can someday get a full release.

ngl the dog's life is one of those things that looks so bad it would be good. I think the dogs being humans is more entertaining than if it was just dogs

8:36 the fact the photo card picture’s have TRC time stamps, implies there is a copy out there.

I grew up off Treehouse TV, YTV, and Teletoon. The Canadian KINGS of lost content basically, as content that can now technically be considered lost were beamed through those channels every other day for YEARS. So much can be found if people just look for recordings of these channels specifically. The amount of idents, episodes and more I saw on those channels that are now lost is actually unreal. It’s a MEGA rabbit hole of colossal proportions. For every piece of lost US content, there’s like 3 times that in Canada.

a lot of the ads we get on youtube will probably become lost media at some point
