I’ve a LWB GTX Buzz and rear brake issue is a big problem. FYI my dealership in Liverpool has got 5 sets of the new shoes which are apparently just available and are supposed to fix it. May be worth contacting your dealer again if you’ve not heard anything..? I actually went through VW Customer Care and they were actually pretty helpful. Really hope this sorts the issue because I actually really like the Buzz apart from this brake thing.
After speaking to VW in regards to the squeaking brakes i was told that only the MY25 onwards buzz suffeer with this, the 1st gen buzz doesnt. So VW must have changed the drum shows to a different version. Unsure as to why they cant fit the 1st gen brake shoes to the newer version
I picked up my GTX two weeks ago and so far nothing has happened. You’ve scared me a bit. I have two Toyota RAV4 GRs – one is a year old and the C-HR GR is three years old – and both have been completely trouble-free. I wanted something bigger and chose the ID. Buzz. I hope VW lives up to expectations.
What a shoddy dealership, one week and they can’t find the time, seriously. I have every confidence they’ll fix the roof though, but I wouldn’t mind betting it will be with tarpaulin! 😂 I picked mine up Tuesday, can’t open the boot with the key fob or the drivers door switch, yet it works swiping my foot under the rear sensor. Let the fault fun begin😂
Won’t be buying one if these. A friend of mine was a manager at vw. I asked him about the buzz as there wasn’t one in the showroom. He told me he’s got 5. He took me round the service depo and they were all parked there. He then asked me if I wanted one as all of them had come back broken down. I just played safe and went for the toureg diesel.
Getting a bit worried to see your video. I had an ID4 GTX which basically was the car from He... ! It spent more time in the workshop than me having it at home. Bought a Skoda Enyaq RS which has been just great .. no issues at all. Due to family reasons I have ordered a Buzz GTX .. let's hope that your video and my previous experience will not repeat it self :/
Probably not relevant but I've got 1/4 mile downhill when I leave the house and always put my Enyaq into neutral till the bottom so that the brakes get used.
My brakes are awful. It’s actually embarrassing how noisy they are - they turn heads thy make sure a racket. Had 2 visits from VW technicians. “VW are aware of the problem” apparently. No fix yet. It’s currently making the driving experience deeply un pleasurable. Squeaky, noisy, grindy, I live in London and the amount of low speed breaking means that the braking current set up is not suitable for city driving. All a bit rubbish!
Have you worked out how to use the cargo net thing that I assume separates the back 2 seats while carrying stuff? I got mine but fastening one side kept making the other fall out and just lost patience with it (I’ve got same spec/colour as yours) 👍🏼
I have the same running water problem too … Havnt taken it in as yet but asked on one of the forums and a lovely chap sent me this link!! Any joy with the running water/roofbonding issue as yet?
Hi mate. How’s it all going with your ongoing issues? I took delivery of my GTX 2a couple of weeks ago. I had a 2023 Buzz previously with no issues. However, this morning I’ve heard the sloshing water sound just like you have described. What was the fix for this? I’ve thrown it around a few corners (on school run) and it seemed to have dispersed a lot of it as it runs down the outside of the windows. I’d appreciate your feedback.
