It started with donating enough to the museum to get the Rusty Key day 2, and then continued with getting as much friendship with Krobus as early as I could.

Q: Why are you juggling? Just leave the Hoe behind, or leave artifacts on the other side and pick them up later.
A: I need the Hoe to dig up two artifacts from the beach after I am done with Clint.
As to leaving artifacts on the other side, that is a strategy. However there are other chores I need to do after I am done with the museum, so I want to make the most of the day. What wasn't shown in the video was that I did a lot of practicing of getting across the bridge. After discovering the bridge issue in a practice run, I had never lost an item to the bridge until the run where it mattered. Knowing that I could consistently get across, I still felt it was worth to keep doing the juggling. It also made for tense moments on the streams/video, so there is that.
