I was 10 when i first heard grunge and then those next 2 years (nirvana, alice in chains, pearljam, sound garden), it floored me as a kid to hear music about honest and dark topics. Great time for music

They've got a fantastic catalog. I second every one that's been listed and will add Junkhead, Nutshell, Down in a Hole, Sludge Factory, Angry Chair. RIP beautifully talented Layne 💔. Layne and Chester were 2 of the best "whole body" vocalists I've ever seen. You'll see how well Layne uses his whole body to sing in Love Hate Love live at the Moore. Great reaction!

Hi! I loved your reacfion I love how you actually listen to the song and try to figure out what it is about! The song is a tribute about the lead singer of the band Mother Love Bone Andrew Wood who passed away in 1990 from a heroin overdose. Guitarist Jerry Cantrell wrote the song and said it also speaks to people who judge others, something like that, the lyrics in the chorus "into the flood again, same old trip it was back then, so I made a big mistake, try to see it once my way", with that information, seem to talk about drug relapsing, and for people to try to understand the struggle, so you're right it's about drug addiction! Sadly lead singer Layne Staley also ended up passing away in 2002 at the age of 34 the same way, after years of struggling with his own addiction. RIP drugs are no joke. What a voice he had! I hope you react to more of their music to me they are a great 90s band!! If you do I recommend the songs Rooster, Down in a Hole and Man In The Box!
