I hope we live long enough to get to "N Years Later, I Finally Understand Tenet" (:

I would have taken Moll to a Walmart supercenter and been like, “this real enough for you? nobody would ever dream this.”

That's the best summation of tenet 10/10 no notes

Most underrated video essayist. Easily should be 1mil+ subscribed channel. Thank you for tickling my brain every vid banger after banger. Rooting for your continued success and growth.

Shout outs:
"House of Leaves"

Derrida's "Dissemination"

Only watching tenet once is insane.

The knock on Kubrick is that he is a cold filmmaker.  But I find his characters more real than Nolan's.  Nolan is obsessed with the puzzle and NOT character, realism, reality

You’ve probably thought of this but tenet premise maybe fits Nolan’s idealism by exploring what it means to take back an idea

2:30, V- "Beneath this mask there is more than flesh... There is an idea, Mr. Creedy. And ideas are bulletproof."

Showing the kids faces until the very end I always felt was the indication to the audience that Cob was indeed in the real world! Like the film purposely not showing us something from Cob's perspective because not even Cob knows what his kids look like anymore. He's been away that long! And so Cob not caring whether he was in reality allows us the audience to share in that joy along side him and because we are sharing in that joy we shouldn't care much if he's in reality or not either.

I’m so happy Jared is finally understanding all the movies he’s seen.

In tenet the protagonist begins as an anonymous cog in the wheal while in the end he’s actually the architect of his own destiny

Having to bleep out antisemitism and Nazi is a new low for YouTube

I might be a fool.  I'm sure I am, but I raised my two children alone and this movie was always very emotional to me.  I want to believe it was real.  He made it home.  He accepted the grief and loss of his wife but made it home to his children.  That was all that mattered.

Can we take a moment to appreciate how good the "quick recap" section of these videos are… Synthesizing synopses to this degree so impeccably is way harder than one might think

I never understood the confusion about the ending. It seemed quite obvious to me that the point was he doesn't care.

What a beautiful video essay. Thank you so much for your perspective, and for putting it together.

Jorge Luis Borges is one of my favorite authors, thanks for analyzing his work, especially in connection to Nolan.

Gracias Jared, siempre es hermoso ver a nuestro amado Borges siendo pensado y repensado. Saludos de Argentina!

Mad props for using clips from Jim Henson's The Storyteller for your bits on Greek Mythology
