I don't know why this appeared to me a year later but I wanted to make an observation here: My Candy Love is actually very popular in other countries and even ends up causing an emotional attachment effect due to the feeling of nostalgia even though the story isn't very good, especially at the beginning. It turns out it's a game from 2010/13 and a huge difference is the number of translations into other languages that make it accessible. The game is from a French company with a huge French audience, but it also has a very large Portuguese and Brazilian audience because it is simply impossible to find otome games in languages other than English/Japanese. Being the only otome fully translated (and very well translated, taking great care in adapting the expression from each country) it ended up becoming a phenomenon in countries like mine to this day. Currently, despite clearly not yet having the best English in the world, I'm much better than when I was a child, and I can play otome games in English and see how good they are, but at the time that was my only reference.
You should’ve played the highschool and college versions of My Candy Love, it would’ve helped you to know and choose the characters better. Not that I ever went past the highschool, the point system pissed me off. It’s also a very old game, I used to play it on the computer when I was thirteen (only the highschool version was available at the time). Castiel was my crush, but I always ended the chapters with Nathaniel T-T
When Moonlight Lovers appear, my nostalgia instantly come up. I have played that game a few years before but forgot about it, i dropped it halfway cuz the AP system suck.
oh my candy love, my og.... i think that was my first otome game back in 2013 or 2014 it was browser only at the time and had only "school" part, feels all over the place because it's supposed to be played chronologically starting from school the game optimized horribly for phones i tried it before it wasn't fun
One game I really like is called “Her jentle Hi-ness” and, while the dating sim aspects aren’t really in the main focus of the game, I would still recommend it to anyone who likes weird romance games.
The main character, Eorina (formerly Georgina because the queen banned the letter G in her kingdom and executes anyone who says it), can romance a wide variety of characters including but not limited to: The Queen, A bunch of knights, A werewolf, A frog Prince, A magical girl, and even a evil version of herself.
It’s really weird but, or maybe because of that I love this game.
This entire video was hilarious. The vampire part was my favorite, the comments, the confusion, the voices, and you admitting you like Vlad 😭 I love vampires, and even saw these games but I never played now in curious lol.
Lol I actually got kinda interested in the moonlight lovers one. I wish you could pay 4-5 dollars once to unlock the whole story, it would've been a lot better. Most people in the reviews are complaining about the points system. This game has a ton of potential.
You should really try the fitst My Candy Love game! It's literally their best game ! And that's the shared sentiment within the community. So much that many of us have a love-hate relationship with that company😂
