Windows Pushed Me To Linux

You all spent every comment section this month telling me to quit Windows, so I put Bazzite on a six year old laptop with 8GB of RAM and used it for a full day. It worked. The only time I opened a terminal was to fix a Secure Boot step I skipped myself, and the only thing that actually broke was the laptop, not the distro.

I think it would be better to clarify that Bazzite is an immutable distro, which could case some issues for more "tinkerer" users.
Other options for you to try, in the "Gaming" side of Linux (drivers pre-installed and easiness of config) would be CachyOS, which is my main distro, or OpenSuse Tumbleweed.
For more advanced or brave users, any distro would work with some tweaking. Many people use plain Debian or plain Arch and install whatever DE and apps they want to keep it minimal.
Great video! ❤
There's some hardworking people out there doing all this for free. Respect!
I was hoping to put windows on my deck, but at the time there was a lot of issues with doing that and i didn't want to fight with it. I bit the bullet and stuck with steamOS.
Once i started playing around in the desktop environment i was pleasantly surprised.
2 years later and my laptop is running mint, my desktop is running bazzite, my old asus vivostick that was never good for anything is running an ultra light distro for my TV to access my media server... which is also on mint...
It's like getting hooked on drugs tbh
