Unkowingly Casually Decoding the Criminalist I see Dubbz

Scrooge’s fourth ghostly visitation was his old business partner, Jacob Marley, who warned him about the results of his greed in the afterlife, and told him he’d be visited by the ghosts of past, present and future.

The poor basement writers need to start listing which channel they are writing for to help Simon from being confused

To be fair to Simon, the script talks about a ghost, which definitely sounds like the start of a DTU script.

"Casual Decoding the Unknown Criminalist" will be the new Simon Whistler channel frankensteining both channels 👍

lol decoding the unknown. someone help simon he is lost

In the U.S., we have: jelly (completely strained fruit juice, sugar, and pectin); jam (strained to remove the skins, but seeds allowed through, usually strawberry and raspberry); preserves (skins and seeds allowed); and marmalade (citrus-based with zest (thin strips of skin with the essential oils in them)). However, many companies don't care about these technicalities and will call their fruit spreads whatever they wish and fool me into thinking I'm getting one thing when I am getting another. And horse theft was a big deal in less settled areas because taking a person's horse was equivalent to leaving a person to die a slow death of starvation.

As someone who is a multi-generation Appalachian and briefly lived in this area of West Virginia, I can attest that there are many people here today who are more likely to believe "a ghost told it to me" than science. But also, the version I heard is that Mrs. Heaster's testimony was made more believable because it was seen as uncouth that the defense lawyer was badgering a woman obviously in morning for her daughter. There is also some story that she knew her daughter was being abused by her husband and made up the ghost story to get justice. You have to realize that, at this time, beating your wife was not a crime unless you killed her.

42:08 and simon still thinks this is decoding the unknown LMAO 😂

I find it very entertaining that this mother came up with this elaborate story just to get people to listen to her. If it works, it works but it is a very funny source for a legend.

Simon sees ghost, Simon says it must be decoding the unknown

I adore the editor of these videos. You are my hero.

5:28 Midwest, USA. "Bible Thumpers". Is the vernacular I have heard.  😂

In Simon's defense, the episode is about a ghost and he sounds under the weather.
Funeral Practices Context: before the American Civil War, preparing a body for a funeral was handled by the family, or community. The tasks were mostly done by women. The body would be washed, laid out, and dressed. It's not strange or suspicious these things were done shortly after Zorah's death. Though not allowing a doctor to examine her is strange.
Caitlin Doughty has a video about what pre-embalming funerals were like if you wanna learn more.

All the channels run together in Simon’s head 😂

Simon even plugs his notebooks for the casual criminalist then stops deflecting to decoding the unknown....  I love Simon and all of his channels, and forgive him for being confused  because he does have more channels than any other youtuber (that im aware of?) Thanks for all your hard work Simon and his team.  You all rock my world!!

Regarding the blood trail: The doctor stating that it was complications from pregnancy would actually explain the blood if a woman was hemorrhaging. Obviously, we know that wasn’t the case in this situation, but there definitely could be legitimate, non-murdery reasons for there being blood everywhere.

Also, just a note: Jelly and jam are actually two separate things. Jam is made from the actual fruit, while jelly is made from fruit juice mixed with gelatin.

9:27 I see what you did there, Danny. Zona and the blacksmith "forged" a romantic relationship... 🤣🤣🤣

Casually decoding the unknown criminalist into the shadows.
