Good advice. It also teaches you something as far as selling a bike in the future and if you keep up with those Oil changes and you log them and keep all of that information it’s gonna be easier to sell your bike at a good price as well.   And I loved the advice Brad gave about the Oil. Everybody goes by miles but if you’re driving I’m boring flat roads 45 miles an hour your Oil is probably still gonna be clean at five or 6000 miles but if you’re hauling a Trailer up and down mountains you’re probably gonna need your change your oil at one or two thousand miles come on Sam for motorcycles if you’re just out putting down the road at 30 miles an hour a nice flat pavement you’re not putting a lot of stress on it if you’re out racing up and down hills i’m really working the engine you need to do it more often and in the racing world for cars and trucks it’s kind of one of those things responsible people just do they just change it often anyway cause it’s a lot cheaper to keep changing your Oil than it is to fix things and he’s right when your Oil starts getting dark. It’s because it’s full of particles and those particles are like sandpaper, especially on a bike where it’s clutch material because that’s exactly what it’s made for is high friction.

The chain I was surprised on a never thought about that on other Bikes I’ve had some of my chains had five or 6000 miles on them and I never really thought about that. I just would hit them with chain lube every now and again and keep them adjusted but I never would’ve thought about really checking a chain at a couple thousand miles.  lol. It’s good to learn these things.

Also, when you’re talking about the battery stuff at the end that reminded me, go learn about the bike and understand the mechanics of it before you go look at one. Some Bikes require a battery to run and some of them don’t some of them you can just bump start it and it’ll run fine with no battery. Someone will need a battery connected even if it’s dead and others aren’t gonna run unless you have a battery that’s still holding a charge so it’s good to know how your bike works on something like that cause if you can jumpstart it and it starts fine but then it doesn’t run. It may not be something broken it may just be the way the bike functions and so it’s good to go with a jump pack or a battery and some good cables with strong clamps so you have a new battery to test it on and if you really want to get fancy, you could bring a multimeter and make sure it’s charging as well.  But if you know in advance you want to check all these things if you go out and watch a couple videos or you’re familiar with the bike you’re going to look at you’ll know what it’s gonna take to go check the battery cause some you can just pop the seat up some it’s a little side cover some you have to completely unbolt and remove the seat and go through the top and it can be a huge pain so if you understand all that in advance, it’ll be less confusing when you’re there checking out the bike

Im soo bummed i couldnt make the ride this year. Just couldnt make it. But im looking forward to it next year. I hope youll post some vids of it.

Bill, well done as usual. Thanks for the tips, Brad. In Vermont they issue a "Certificate of Origin" and not a title due to it being under 250cc. I wonder how that would play out if I ever sold it to an out of state party. Thanks, Guys.

Good questions on the interview. My TW, the Yamaha dealer gave me the wrong oil filter, it looked the same as the one I took out. Anyway, I wrecked the top end.

One funny thing about my bike. When the dealer sent off the paperwork for the bike. His hand writting was SO bad that they thought it was it was 91 model. It was during Covid and I had to go in person to get it fixed but also couldnt. so I just never did. I dont plan on selling it anyway but yeah I do wonder what kind of issues that could cause with either cops or buyers.

I got a 87 and had no problem getting an oem cdi from Japan the wiring was also no issue it's not like this is a Tesla I do like the Bradley stuff but find most of little use for a ranch bike my bike still has the stock rear tires no rot  great video ty
