How do you feel about Borderlands? 🎮

The video game that taught us who the band "Cage the Elephant " was

The vibe of BL1 is unmatched, it was the first game I played where I felt like the world itself didn't want me there, I was an outsider in ways I didn't even know.

I will always come back to Pandora

Itty bitty correction to make. The Eridian Guardians aren't actually Eridians, rather constructs to defend the vault that they built. Basically alien robots.

Despite all these years and playing all the titles, I think the first Borderlands is my favorite of all the games.

I have such fond memories of me and three friends, with two 360s and two tvs in the living room

dear mr. son,

hello. how are you? how are things? i don't like borderlands. but your videos are great. thx for them.

best regards,

The "humorous" story being told mostly in text at quest begin and and turn in will always be a benefit imho

I remember my first time playing borderlands 1. I was off work cuz i was sick with a nasty flu (i was a line cook at the time and you don't go to work cooking when your whacked with the flu) and one of my dishwashers was on his off day and he came over with some chicken soup and his ps3 and he just picked up borderlands. He hooked up his console and we played for about an hour before i had to quit and go back to bed, but i bought it as soon as i was feeling better. Also the first game i got a platinum on my ps3 and didn't even mean to. I was never a trophy hunter but i remember this one.

I’d hate to know how may hours I have in this game. I played it exclusively from the day it dropped until the day BL2 dropped, and still dust it off now from time to time. The glitches in the Knox DLC were fantastic, and I’m glad they never patched them

Tannis’s echo logs were the first things that really got me intrigued, I’d find one and immediately try to run to cover and listen

BL1 just needed no fall DMG and moving during FFYL. It would be a literally perfect game if it had those upgrades that appear in BL2.

BL1 & 2 are the absolute best. I’ve never stopped playing them from the beginning.

For the Mad Moxxi DLC if you beat all the different arenas and their rounds, with the mission from the DLC, you'll be rewarded with an extra skill point to spend for that character and you can do this in each playthrough of the first game.

Meaning you can get multiple extra skill points past the allotted level based skill points provided to the player. This was something I did for my Brick character who I 100% the game on 360 back in the day, getting all the achievements for the game too.

Let me tell you the Claptrap DLC collection achievement was hell and maybe worse than the Underdome!!

This was my first Borderlands game and it's easily the one that I've played the most, so it's always nice to see someone acknowledge this classic.

Thank you son, this is my favorite franchise. I still cling on with hope that one day we can get back to the quality one 1, my absolute favorite in the franchise

I replayed this game to completion a year ago over the course of a week while recovering from a surgery.  It’s even better than I remember!

The original visual design for Borderlands is something I think about often. I wonder how the series would have done if it had kept with the more realistic look

I came very late to the franchise and in my opinion Borderlands actually gains a lot through the cell-shaded style. Like is often the case, a more stylized look holds up way better in the long run.

I was working at Gamestop when the first borderlands was coming out and holy shit the hype for it was real
