How do you feel about Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines? 🧛

Shhh… you hear that? Someone’s reinstalling VTMB

Ah yes LaCroix, the vampire who made it big selling barely flavored water.

I modeled many of those characters.  Can't believe how fast time goes by.  It was my first job in the game industry.

I miss games that let you fail missions, miss missions, actually have multiple endings, make you replay the game on different paths and choices...besides the bugs the game was great and a reminder of a time when developers cared

For the longest time I didn't realize if you danced for 5 solid minutes you regained a point of humanity. Can do the same at every dance floor available and it'll always grant you the humanity.

Shout out to all the homies putting this on to go to bed

Ocean House was a great level. Imagine being a vampire stuck in a haunted house where you literally can't do anything but run and survive. I'm amazed no one's done a horror movie like that.

A minor note regarding the fluidity of the lore around the 17 minute mark: For those that haven't played it, the TTRPG uses what's called "The Golden Rule", which allows the Storyteller to use, add, or ignore any game rules or lore that they see fit. Consider the lore as "just" a framework, but nothing in a particular campaign is considered canon unless the Storyteller confirms it. This also helps players keep their out of character information separate from what their character may or may not know in character.

Most people don't realize how utterly AMAZING it is that Troika was able to get Ministry to write a song for their game. THEE one and only Ministry created a song just for them! No other game will have this honor.

I will watch every bloodlines review youtube reccomends me.

What we really need here is a super faithful Remaster of the game, NOT a Remake btw, a Remaster. Hopefully by some of the original team. Source engine can still look very good and perhaps if the original devs were on board remastering it, they could add the lost quests, areas, characters and maby even multiplayer that they were planning! That would be a dream come true.

Great! Now I have to reinstall Bloodlines...

If you talk to the taxi driver, your Malkavian character refers to him as "dark father". So I would say that pretty much confirms that he is kain. 😊

The Clan Mod is essentially a fan made Sabbat expansion. Though there's a lot more to it than just that. Has good voice acting in it. It's pretty brilliant tbh. Fits into the main game pretty seamlessly.

As I remember, you cannot hide the fact that you saw Nines come out of Grout's home. I remember hating being a snitch and then having all the anarchs on my ass.

It was the first game I played with a "Good" computer. I'm glad you tackled this one. I played the table top, but always seemed to like the video game more. Thanks, Son.

For those who are curious: An indie game in development based on Bloodlines 1

Nightborn: It has a Kickstarter campaign and a Steam page.

"only armed with a pistol"
Mfer he's armed with a pistol A grenade and a lot of experience as an undead.

Been a Storyteller for World of Darkness games for almost two decades now and still run tables twice weekly. Bloodlines was my introduction to the setting and I love to see such a well researched and thorough retrospective on it. If you are looking for more good WoD games the visual novels they made have some gems. The Book of Hungry Names and Night Road for werewolf and vampire respectively are some of the best extended WoD media since Bloodlines. Excellent writing and atmosphere.
