Thanks, I will be doing this next weekend. I wouldn't of thought of removing the fan nut first. Believe me, I want this to go as easy as possible!

Dude thanks a bunch I'm going to try it now .can you not just hold the  nut in front of the pulley for the back up instead of taking the pulley off?

Name of that black cover on generator

I just remove the two small sheet metal screws left/right that hold the fan housing on (just above the spark plugs) and lift up and tip back the fan housing....that gives just enough clearance to remove pull forward  the generator and lift it up and out......without taking the fan nut off. The carburetor needs to come off tho first.

Alternator was put on wrong on the engine. Backingplate has A hole for cooling the alternator on the bottomside !

Nice video, but dropping the engine is far easier in the end, plus that pipe wrench will mess up the shaft.
