Yeah, this was supposed to be an exaggerated version of Trump back then. They had no idea how accurate it will be in the future.

We Finns are brutally honest, be it humour or anything else :)

This is from time of his first term, so yea it was more funny back then cuz atleast his first administration still had guardrails. Now the toddler is loose.

You need to see the episode Putin, Trump, Niinistö an Merkel...

We saw it a long time ago and you still voted for him again...

The Trump actor, Mikko Penttilä, was 29 at the time of this sketch. Before this they did another about Trump taking office and Obama packing his things and I guess they were so pleased that they wanted more Obama.

Haha, loads of love to our Finnish neighbours from Norway <3

But it was visible to everyone in the Nordics at least, that the orange man was a wannabe dictator.

Kinda scary to watch now in 2026. Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰🇩🇰

Can you explain how on earth did Americans vote this idiot not once but twice into the oval office?

The strange thing is that we saw Trump like this 8 years ago, and still he got re-elected.

So the reason Trump calls Obama "Fred" is explained in an earlier skit, where he says "I call all people like you Fred, no offense"

You say it's not funny anymore because it looks too real today. But let me tell you, this is exactly how Trump seemed like to most any Finns back when they had this sketch in Putous. It was funny because we were all so thunderstruck as to how he ever got elected, and humor was the way to deal with the reality that didn't seem like the reality anymore. Trump has been a laughing stock for many years here in Europe.

Believe me, outside of the US Obama is missed way more than inside.

"The Mexiko maksaa muurin" (Mexico pays the wall) is to the tune of a kids' nursery rhyme called "Mörkö se lähti piiriin" (Ogre join the circle)

There is much sarcasm, whot we have In our humor. Greetings from Finland!

Hyvää Juhannusta Tyler! From Finland good mid summer!

in heaven the comedians are Finnish, I don't know a single unfunny Finnish stand-up comedian or other TV funny guy

I remember a hot mike moment during Trump's first term when he told someone that he wished the American people would treat him the same way people in North Korea treat Kim Jong un.

It's not just the Finns - check out what the CBC has to offer on 22 Minutes. And I'm pretty sure the rest of the European nations, in fact all other nations, are finding the melof felon a once-in-a-lifetime object of ridicule.

Putous or vesiputous literally means a fall as in water fall but in theatrical context it refers to falling out of character. Well, this comedy is shown live
