This is the second of Bruce Adolphe's wonderful videos I stumbled on explaining chamber music movements (the first was the Elgar Piano Quintet), and both have been astonishingly informative and full of musical (and extra-musical) insights. His unpretentious and often quirkily humorous delivery, along with his vast musical knowledge, are a delight to experience. This second movement of the Brahms has always been a favorite of mine, and his analysis has just deepened my appreciation of the mastery and craftsmanship involved in this beautiful work.

Mr Adolphe….a most genial man and accomplished musician. But a little cuteness goes a VERY long way.
