Wonderful music! And very well performed. Greetings from nothern Sweden. This evening (2024-01-04) we have minus 34 degrees Celsius. Brr! So good then with some music that has the ability to warm up our spirits.

Brahms is an incredible composer and these fine musicians did him justice.

Listening to this from Veldhoven, The Netherlands. Great to see that we can share this music throughout the world! Plan to visit there in person in December 2024!

I am one minute into this performance. I already know that this is the best rendition of this piano quartet on YouTube. Wow.

Fantastic performance. Janine stunning, but pianist Denis Kozhukhin impeccable as well. All players outstanding.

Brahms surely makes the strikers work, the music is extremely beautiful, and played by the best.

Excellent performance.

I've always liked Brahms' chamber music very much, I've been listening to it since I was a teenager, but Brahms's music is not always as approachable as, for example, Schubert's. He can stay a bit distant, not approachable as easily. Here Brahms comes close: emotionally, sensitively, yet powerfully, beautifully flowing, rich in contrast.

Brahms music at its finest. Thanks to great performers!

I heard this work at Phillips Exeter Academy years ago where my friends and colleagues Michael Rosenbloom (concert master of Boston Ballet,) Anne Black-viola, Damien Sokol-cello and pianist virtuoso Martin Amlin (accompanist for Boston Symphony, all faculty there at PEA at the time) performed a phenomenal rendition that stood out in my memory as one of the finest pieces by J. B. I'd ever heard. And this recording is also extraordinary. Thank you so much for posting. Bob Squires Feb '25.
