My guess for eir is she could be a pawn that inherited the look and will of her former master (if this still a thing in dd2 since they changed alot from dd1)
Well because the armored figure on the throne is wearing the exact same armor as Eir (including the same cape and emblem), just with a helmet, I’ve always assumed it was simply Eir, wearing a helmet...
I’m glad I found your channel. I’m really enjoying your thoughtful analysis. I’m also hoping for the dark element to return 🙏🏽 dark only runs were my favorite
Hey ya'll I tried out a feature on Filmora that automatically cuts the dead air, but I think it needs to some tweaking. This is kind of test run to try and save time and get more videos done and not spend so much time on editing via cutting a lot of stuff out basically. Especially long videos like this the full video was 90+ minutes so it cutting out 30+ minutes is a bit excessive tbh.
At 39:59 I gained an idea. DD1 and DD2 are set in 'a cycle' what if... The Red Dragon from DD1 is the Fallen Dragon and the shot from the timestamp is indeed the Shadow Fort. That would mean the icy mountain is actually a volcano.
It would also explain the potential of a castle within the mountains.
I have always believed that The Red Dragon isn't the real Dragon. Heck DD2 basically confirms it at the end. But what if killing that manifestation of power results in the Fallen Dragon eventually. So many new thoughts running through my head. Truly endless possibility.
A lot of the new equipment has strangely "Egyptian" motifs, with the gold / blue coloring, bird-related embellishments, beaks, etc. I wonder of those pieces are specifically from the Battahl region's dungeons? It's cool to see more "themed" equipment outside of generic high-fantasy, as much as I love that look.
Also, at 18:50, that Bardiche sitting there 2nd from the left is exciting- Unless I'm mistaken, it looks like we're getting a new type of two-handed weapon for either the Warrior or the Mystic Spearhand.
