As a written animated couple they're till this day my favorite! Musa was always my best girl in winx club and as someone who did't like mushy lovey dovey romance, I was EATING THIS UP! The drama, the tension between them, it wasn't perfect but in a way it showed to kids that relationships like this also exist...

I hate that Riven's past isn't mentioned in the show the viewers would understand Riven much better and sooner bcs asi it is now it's hard to understand I leaned about his background in uyour videos YEARS after watching the show. Some media isn't available in countries that don't use English.

She also allowed herself to be more feminine in season 3 after she felt secure in her relationship with riven. Not that I’m an expert but women sometimes adapt strongly to “masculine” traits in order to protect themselves from emotional distress which can be observed in the way she dresses, something that changes in that season. Not that she is suddenly the girliest girl but she noticeably wears more dresses and clothes labeled as feminine, which proves she feels safe to fall back into softer urges.

I never trully saw the complexity of this relationship as a kid, thinking simply that Riven was just a problematic person. I even forgot how peaceful they were in season 5. But now, thanks to this video and the one where you dove into Riven's story, I now see how hard they tried to make their relationship work while each were going through unsolved issues and trying to overcome their trauma. What an excellent analysis you made!

The fact is when riven got tricked by the Trix he barely knew Musa. He had never spoken to her about anything and the only time they had been together it was mission stuff when both groups were together.  Later he had every right to be jealous because he could see her interest in someone who was interested in her music.  It wasn't until she was invited to sing for that guy's wedding that she woke up. But she realized she needed to grow up before she could be in a relationship. Riven tried to be nice but everything he did backfired somehow.

I feel like season 6 Riven would've been better handled if the writers took either of these directions:
A.) After season 4, season 5 has some of the characters grieving. We see a moment of Aeisha crying over Nabu's picture, and later on refusing to go out on a date, angry at Stella for trying to push her. While we do see Riven in a great place, it would've been, I feel, realistic, to have him be great for some episodes, while others he's irritable and competitive. It would've shown how grief can and does cause a person to have good and bad days.
B.) Keep season 6 the same, except show flashbacks of Riven and Nabu, and later Nabu's 'death', during Riven's training or times of competitiveness. And, while Musa could be upset with him, one of the specialists could actually semi-defend him, explaining that Riven's going through some stuff, even if they don't know what it is.

Idk, I just feel like there should've been more effort put into Riven's arc and definitely more effort with Nabu and the aftermath!

They are the most interesting couple they really love each other I remember on season 6 on the beach when musa comes back from the mission how he look at riven and how he looks at her

I honestly love their relationship in the movies just wish they had more screentime. They deserve better in the series

Damn, I feel called out in some of these moments. Especially in the end when Riven decides to leave to better himself. While my partner didn’t officially break up with me and said it was just a break… it’s been two and a half months. She might as well have. The uncertainty is what brought me abandonment fears, but what you described with Riven brings my situation in a whole new light. I think my partner realized something needed to change within her in order to make her college career and relationships with myself and her friends more sustainable, she just didn’t communicate it well. And that’s what hurts.

I'm halfway through the video and I wanna admit that I'm shedding tears. Something about this is making me reflect why Riven is my favorite specialist (aside Brandon) and Musa is my favorite Winx (aside Roxy), and why they are my favorite Winx couple. It's also quite therapeutic for me to realize I share a lot of both of their core emotional struggles. I'm very happy to have seen this video so far ❤️‍🩹

Giiiiirl, your videos are so on point! It takes me back down memory lane. You make me want to re-start and continue this series  (but I'm not strong enough and I feel like every other scene will be so cringe lol). This deep drive on such a cute, misunderstanding couple was very insightful. I did not realize how deep Riven was. To me, these two were meant for each other, but I understand their breaks and unfortunate moments better now.  No couple is perfectly. Together and/or separately; internally and externally, but it makes them (and us) very human and can sometimes give hope for future betterment. I wish the best for them.... Together and separately lol.

This video made me appreciate both characters so much more.
Also, I think most viewers don’t know that Riven’s mother abandoned him, so they don’t understand where his dysfunctional behaviour comes from. That makes it a lot harder to humanise him and empathise with him. All we see is a mean guy constantly hurting our girl Musa (and sometimes Bloom). Understanding his past gave me new context for his actions and his fears. I don’t think Rainbow explained his past outside the comics, did they?

Musa was my favorite Winx girl cuz she loved music and she looked like me which was so important as a kid for representation ! (I also loved Jade from Bratz)

Your videos are amazing honestly, because even if we , as the winx comunity loves to bully Riven, after all the shits and gigles he's still a complex character. It's great to have goofy videos and more toughfull ones to understand all the characters
