This movie is dedicated to the memory of the 65 stuntmen 1 lizard and a frog killed during filming

Damn, when you try to look like Stallone but just end up looking like Brian May

"He wrecked that guy's piss truck" Brian 2024

I've never seen a movie break all three viewers at once. I salute you for watching this one.

I went to a London film festival in the 90's and there were two guests: a film journo from Empire magazine and a woman from the Troma movies wearing literally nothing. Every man ended up crowding round the Troma woman and getting photos, but not a single person went up to the film journo to talk to him. He was sat up there on stage all alone for at least an hour. At one point he waved to me in a 'help, I'll die here alone' kind of way. I didn't bother speaking with him.

Every movie should come with a bonus envelope like that. It was the perfect capper to a glorious film.

There is a fantastic article about Peter O'Brian on Stuff "New Zealand's Most Famous Actor You Never Heard Of."  Apparently he did several movies as "Rambu" (no joke) because they thought he looked like Stallone while he was on vacation and lied his way into a movie deal.  He was big news in Indonesia in the 80's.  If those were anything like this beauty, then they're worth digging up.  "The Intruder: Rambu" was the title of his first film - described as "unemployed cop turned vigilante uses a bouncy ball to beat up street thugs."

This is one of the best SBIG episodes for a LONG time! "The name's Rambu!"

Those stuntmen crippled themselves for a budget movie 😭 lol

Porridge: Place 1 1/2 cups water, 1 1/2 cups milk, and 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt in a small or medium saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat, about 5 minutes. Reduce the heat to medium-low and add 1 cup steel-cut oats. Cooking, stirring regularly, until thickened significantly, about 15 minutes.

Reduce the heat to low. Continue cooking, stirring frequently, until almost all of the liquid is absorbed, about 10 minutes.

Remove the saucepan from the heat. Add 2 tablespoons maple syrup or granulated sugar and 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon if desired and stir to combine). Let cool for 5 minutes to thicken. Serve with more milk and maple syrup or granulated sugar if desired.

Enjoy your porridge.

Not since The Goonies have I been so intrigued by a map!

Everything felt real in this movie.
The stunts, the pyro, and most definitely the cocaine.

Too bad Dave wasn't there. This is definitely a full crew worthy movie.

hey guyyyys an Indonesian here! never heard of this movie before, probably because it's an old movie and got lost in the film archive here in my country. so glad you you've guys decided to watch this cause I would never know such movie existed!

The Rambo voice actor did Lunk from Robotech. Childhood memory unlocked!

By the way your Stallone comments were spot on.  Peter O'Brien's movie career started when he and a friend were bumming their way across SE Asia.  A producer in the Phillipines saw him walking down the street and chased him down to ask him to be in his movie because he though O'Brien was Sylvester Stallone.  Even after he found out he wasn't Stallone the producer still wanted him.  And so both the movie Rambu (not kidding at all) and POB's decade-long reign at the top of the Filipino action movie market began.

I feel very stabilized. Thanks. This is a gem.

As someone who actually lives in South East Asia, SE Asia cinema is a treasure trove ready to be discovered by you guys.
