What a beautiful dashboard - especially compared to the vulgar bling of modern cars!

My late father had one of these exact same colour
Brings back memories for sure I always remember the smell of the interior around early 70s

As a boy who grew up in Texas in the 1960s, we had Peugeot 404 sedans with the same general style. These British Farina sedans were never imported as far as I know. This is a stunning car, conservative. I would have loved to have had one of these. Thank you so much for highlighting Yet.

As an owner of a 4/72, I couldn't be more pleased with your description and review of this lovely Riley.

Crisp, articulate, fact-filled...not a word wasted...best presentation skills on the internet. Bravo ! (Liked and subbed).

My Dad had a Cambridge - his flash mate had an Austin Westminster - I remember going to football in them. My Dads mate who was called Pete upgraded to a 6cyl Woolesley Landcrab later - lovely motor. Inspired me in the 80's to buy a 71 Morris 1800 - such bloody good cars

A British man not afraid to pronounce Lancia properly. Kudos! There are so many British cars that deserve a detailed and properly researched look at them like this. More please.

Familiar with those; I grew up with one, as my old man had one from the early 60's until about 1972. It was the earlier 'four sixty eight', in all grey livery. I can remember the rust problems that happened in the later 60's, with quite a bit of sheet steel being welded onto the floor! A common snag in those days, not just for BMC products then.

In the 60s Dad had the Riley, one Grandad had the Austin Cambridge, the other the Morris Oxford and two uncles had the Wolseley and the MG each all at the same time.

Mine was two tone green, lovely car. Also had the Wolseley 15/60, one of the first cars to have reversing lights.

Great review really loved the history your knowledge is outstanding.

as a child we had a person who drove us as a chauffeur (called Foeke) in this type of car! leather upolstered, wooden dasboard etc but a rather small interiour for the whole family....!

Lovely review. cracking watch , thanks.

The condition of this car, is utterly incredible! What a restoration! Specially in the engine compartment! Would be the pride of any museum!

Beautiful car, an awesome video review, love it- my neighbor had an Austin Cambridge.

My big brother Alistair had a two tone blue 472 fxs 961 he called it Foxy, rip bruv❤

I quite fancied a Riley with an MGB engine swap. That would have been fun.  Probably need to sort the brakes a bit too.

I had the Austin A60 version, similar to this but with the tail fins lowered a couple of inches. This improved the looks to a remarkable degree. I remember I liked the car very much but the engine was nearly worn out even though the car was not that old. In the end I traded it for a BSA Royal Star motorcycle.

Nicely presented and well articulated

What a great video! I like the addition of the exterior shots while driving, it really adds to the experience of the car. Also, you one upped yourself in the comprehensive history of similar cars.
