Tobe Zoo, located in Tobe Town, Iyo District, Ehime Prefecture, is home to Peace, a female polar bear.
Keeper Takaichi gazes intently at Peace, almost as if he were looking at his own child...
In fact, Takaichi is Peace's foster parent.
A precious baby was born in December 1999.
However, immediately afterward, his life was in danger.
One of the two newborns died two hours later! The remaining one was switched to hand-feeding.
That was Peace.
He was taken home and raised there until he was 108 days old.
It was the zookeepers and their families who protected his fragile life.
Peace escaped danger and is growing steadily! But another challenge awaits...
The complete story of the miraculous story of polar bear cub Peace and zookeeper Takaichi, who overcame numerous challenges.
