One of the best audiobooks I have listened to in quite some time. RIP Mark.

One of the greatest things about this book is how Lanegan makes it a point to casually drop names of the  bands and music he was into and influenced by.  Being from a generation when people still turned thier friends onto the music they were into by word of mouth that is exactly what he does many times throughout the novel.  The Gun Club alone was worth the price of admission for me but there are a ton of others,  lesser known Seattle bands and obscure punk rock. Alot of great stuff.

Amazing Artist.. amazing book and a voice so unique it touches you deeply. Fly high.. hope you found the peace you were looking for.

This book is an absolute masterpiece.  If you have suffered from addiction, or if you would like to know what it’s like, there isn’t another book that describes it better.  It’s so unfortunate that Mark has left us, as so many of us would love to tell him how much we love his book.  Yes, the book can be triggering, but never forget where the temptations lead- and he describes living in hell, but he does a beautiful job at reminding us that it’s much worse than hell.

Gotta be the best memoir of all time.

…let her drink it” hahahahahahahaha😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
