There’s online calculators now that just show you whatever your Feebas spot is for the day. It’s a very trivial hunt now

You could see the floats on the back of the Platinum box art. Always felt so mysterious.

It always boggles my mind how much time (and money) was invested in so many cool features and then they made most of these features very obscure, hard to access or inconsequential.

8:47 it's not braille, it's the regi's face. Braile have maximum of 6 dots (in a 2x3 formation) and all three of those puzzle have 7 dots

There is a way to select multiple pokemon by pressing Y in the boxes. I feel like that's also pretty hidden

What I like about old Pokemon games is the fact that I am still learning new things about it in 2026.

Gen 3-5 really was the peak of Pokemon games and we’re not getting anything like it back again.

Hell I’d argue ALL of gaming was at its absolute best height possible between 2001-2011. There have been good games made before and after that window but they are few and far between.

Just amazing, gen 3 to 5 for me the golden age of pokemon games.

Hearthome city where you can walk cute pokémon is an obscure location and apparently a beta test for walking pokémon sprites in the overworld for the next gen. hence why you can only walk “cute” pokémon.

Surprisingly, given I had no internet access til I was 12, I actually got the clefairy dance in the slots with the pikachu cheering. It would have been either a fluke or just following along with her for fun, but I remember I got it quite a few times with the different moons and the shiny form. Never saw the ditto though, didn't even know it existed until I was 12 so that would have terrified me.

50:50 They make sound at all shine levels, it changes the pitch at different ones. Also these badges aren't fully shiny, you can keep going a bit longer and get four sparkles and a slightly higher pitch.

Edit: THE BIKE RACKS WORK???

The villa piano that plays Cynthia's theme always seemed to me like the ultimate pokemon achievement. I never had the patience.

I love this series. Really hope it'll continue for the other games too. Nice job man!

1:11 I love how this implies New Year's Day is a tragedy.

I literally just finished Platinum on my 3ds for the first time omg this is lit

Great selection of really obscure facts!

Truly a video that will feed me (I will watch it during lunch) for generations (about 3 days)

There's also the Trendy Words guy in Snowpoint City. Now you can use the word "Streaming" in the Easy Chat feature! XD

Having the guide book for these games made me truly knowledgeable
